Here's a couple of ours....

This is our "Rhode" (it's pronounced 'roadie"), he's Scottish! (and a shepard)

This is who we call "Sissy", his name is Cisco, and he's the toughest Australian Cattle Dog you've ever met!! He'll go after the biggest, meanest, bull first. He's incredible...but he's shy in pictures.

This is Shelby; (many of you here know her) she's the matriarch. She's been with me for years. She's the most faithful hunting dog imaginable! One day, she even caught a pheasant in the air (I missed it)! She shamed me for days!! Finest tough girl ever in the dog world!! (my BEST friend on EARTH!!)

....she's in retirement almost 12 now!

Check out this micro-machine! Not the greatest pic, but I took this one today, and actually just posted it in another thread concerning dogs. (He wouldn't pose for me. This angle was all I could get.)

Anyone have an idea what breed? It was tiny. Probably could have stood in the palm of my hand.

He's what we/they call a "merle" (one blue eye, one brown); it's his signature feature. He's actually a pretty fierce little boy (at about 2 years old). He's afraid of nothing, and he knows he's got that blue eye!!! He'll start eyeballin' the cows and they start backing up (seriously). We call it "giving them the BLUE EYE". Cisco, the ACD is a total HAMMER, and Rhode on the other hand is total STEALTH, and totally fearless. Nobody messes with him! ...not even the coyotes!

A terrier of some sort. Maybe a yorkie?

Here's a picture of Wally, the Doxle. He turned 15 in July.

It's funny about Rhode, the momma's absolutely HATE him...and they'd stomp him in a second if he ever gave them a chance in the daylight. He scares the calves to death too. BUT...when it's dark out at night, they let him walk all through them without a 2nd glance. They know he's not even paying a lick of attention to them, and he isn't. He's laying in wait for the coyotes to come in on the calves. Rhode will run in and engage the biggest, bravest, coyote first. Then Cisco (out of the dark) will come around behind them and rip anything to shreds that hangs around long enough to be caught!

They're a team...and they're pretty incredible at what they do!

Shelby just sits on the porch and cheers them on! Gotta' love that!

I was tempted to put him in my tool bag and abduct the little guy

But couldn't do that to anyone of course.

Looks like you were in a casino or something. What, was the dog just running around?

Ha. Interesting take on their area rug. It was a cabin out in the boonies.

HA!!! That's too cute/funny!!

People say dogs can't see TV...well, I know that's wrong! We can watch 50 different programs, but if we put on a dog show competition, Shelby's front and center in front of the TV. Here's what's even weirder...when the sporting dogs come on, especially the Labradors, Chesapeake's and Goldens she gets all excited, stands up, starts wagging her tail and happily yelping at the TV. "Buzz" the 4 time National Champ (Lab) is her idol...she LOVES Buzz!! She fell in love with him the first time we ever saw him on TV...never said a word to her either, she was just smitten with him! She was yelping and running back and forth between mom and the TV...it was crazy! "Mom, mom...it's Buzz, you gotta' take me to go see Buzz...Mom, Mom...MOM!!!...it's BUZZ!!!"

(Prolly would have cost us $100k to breed her with Buzz in real life (might have been worth it even), but it wasn't to be).

She sure did love Buzz though. Every time the AKC Championships come on (and we watch them), she's front and center in front of the TV...looking for Buzz. He's been out of circulation for a few years now, but it sure was cute to watch. She still looks for him.
