He said in situations where a cop sees a known criminal (i.e known to them). They know who they are, on their beat.

And as for above? If I'm dressed, talking, and acting like a gang-banger, then sure, stop me for a few seconds. I got nothing to hide.

If they see a known criminal, arrest them for being a criminal.

If you have no proof of a crime they've committed it's a violation of the constitution to give them a hard time.

i don't have a problem with stop and frisk if there is probable cause .

if a guy is standing on the curb and going to car windows car after car that would be probable cause.

if someone is just walking down the sidewalk there would be no probable cause.

if a unmarked cop car drives down the street and hit the siren and someone takes off running that is probable cause.

if someone is walking down the street and observed adjusting something hidden under there shirt that might be a gun that is probable cause

i would not even object to the use of gun dogs in Chicago. if used legally like during parole searches of felons homes or cars for hidden guns.

If they see a known criminal, arrest them for being a criminal. If you have no proof of a crime they've committed it's a violation of the constitution to give them a hard time.

You do realize that all crimes do not carry life imprisonment, right?

I am all for increasing random searches on violent felon parolees, since the vast majority of gun crimes are commited by repeat offenders.

Should we be harassing former criminals? If the justice system says they're a free person again, I think that means we should give them a clean slate until they screw up again, if they do. I don't think it means we continue to harass them just because.

Like you said, crimes don't carry life sentences, so why continue to punish after their sentence is up?
