So, on Windows 10, the lock screen changes daily to a different picture and you are asked if you like it or not. It is 'spotlight mode'. Finally, they provided an icon to find where the picture is from. It brings me beautiful scenes of castles, bridges, ruins, staircases, modern architecture...almost anything imaginable. I really like seeing a new one every day.

Today, the new one has a quote, "So, you missed the invitation to the Butterfly Convention..." LOL The picture was so lovley.

It's from a national forest, and sadly, the link opens in Edge and I closed it and lost where exactly the pic is from.

I am thoroughly irritated with this 'feature.' Is there a way to disable it?

I keep clicking "I'm not a fan!"

The pictures are sometimes neat, but...get off it, I'm trying to do stuff.

That's really beautiful.

I have the Laughing Fox...

...which I like very much.

I am not real sure how difficult it is to type 'disable spotlight lock screen' into google, but here you go

Disable Spotlight Lock screen

clicking 'i'm not a fan' just causes it to try to find different categories of images you might like.

That Fox has got to be my favorite...I got a smile every time I opened my laptop.

Oh it's not difficult at all!

I'm just commenting on the thread topic.

You asked, there was a question mark in there.

Not sure how difficult it is to look up 'rhetoric.'

But, no need for things to turn nasty. I'll be off.

Well,

I was surprised at how much I liked it after the woes of the W10 transition; I got stung real bad, data-wise.

But I'm a hold-out; for me The Fox was the beginning of my faith in W10 delivering on its promises.

It's not been bad for several days now.

But what if you didn't know the secret code words? I coulda been looking for THAT for ages.

But I like the feature, too. My favorite so far has been those weird 5 sided stones in Ireland - the Giant's Causeway. Aaannd, I've already forgotten how to post a picture, so look it up yourself if you're interested.

I have a huge collection that changes every 1 minute...but the lock screen I have to leave as one. The backgrounds themselves are from a slideshow folder. I like them changing. I have some KILLER backgrounds..

Oh...and my background folder has 134 backgrounds in the slideshow I use currently....

Blue eyes, pointy nose.. an angel in disguise.

What does the fox say?

Ok as for Windows 10 I will never install it... It's spy wear, it's crap.
People who install it are sheep.

I held out to the very end but relented on the 9th day before the 1 year option expired. Did a manual install to eliminate as much of the spy features as I could and haven't noticed any problems, so far.

PS: I enjoy the pics as well.

I have windows 10 and have no idea what everyone is talking about. I have the beautiful desk top pic that I chose for the background. I don't see pics changing. Is this something you have to choose? I wouldn't choose it.
