Boeing has revealed the nose section of their new clean sheet trainer, as well as artist concepts. They are working with SAAB on the aircraft for the new Air Force trainer. The big reveal will be September 13th at their facility in St Louis.

T-X is ramping up fast!! With Northrop Grumman’s ‘clean sheet’ design having broken cover on Friday, today Boeing has issued some tantalizing glimpses of its ‘clean sheet’ T-X design.

With a new website, Boeing has issued a number of teaser videos, with a couple of accompanying artist’s impressions.

I really dig the look even from what little is shown.
Big ol' cockpit.

That angle is very F-104ish. Long nose, stubby wings.

I would love to see that design philosophy come back. Minus the control issues of course

For the first time, I'm actually rooting AGAINST Northrop on this one...

That's one fine looking bird, and anything that keeps the lights on at SAAB is all right by me.

Would it be wrong to guess that at this point it's going to be a slog between Northrop and Boeing?

I just can't see Lockheed's hunchbacked Korean F-16 knock-off or Raytheon's "Beef Stroganoff with an Italian twist" designs holding their own against the two clean-sheet birds from top-tier contractors.
