Ok I get it is an old story.

The discussion between Sullivan and Clinton was about a spy?
The discussion was conducted in email?
Hillary claimed no classified info was received or sent?
The FBI investigated(which would include this email)and found no wrongdoing?

Would this email not implicate Hillary, Obama, and the FBI?

What information in a CNN article (which was simply fwd'd in the email) led to the execution of Armini? Esepcially when it was already out that he dropped secrets to the US:

Long story short -

His cover and explanation as to why he was in the US held until Clintons server was compromised and the emails discussing him as an asset of the US identified him to Iranian VAJA.

One theory is the Clinton Foundation was involved and they made a deal with Iran to kill the guy off.

He may have found a way to transmit some "leaks".

No. The discussion was a CNN article which was an interview with Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah about a nuclear scientist who was likely a spy. The discussion was all public information at that point though.

And, given that CNN has CIA assets in its ranks, controlling its content Im guessing the article & the content therein was all approved for release.

Now, even though that's the case, last I checked CNN articles are not classified.

CNN articles may not be classified but we are right back to the drone article discussion, if the human intelligence info about that spy was still classified then their email would still be classified.

I doubt the info was cleared to release to cnn.

So all this story shows with respect to Hillary is more classified info sent and received on her non approved non secure server.

There is method to her madness. I get the distinct impression that her short circuited mistakes were more along the lines of that she could care less, because filling the Clinton Foundation coffers was more important. She knows that she is untouchable.

He returned to Iran under the guise of being a double agent. Most likely done so he would not be executed for initially defecting to the US. That setup held until Clinton's server issues cropped up, allowing foreign intelligence services, including VAJA, access to the information. The emails regarding the scientist was enough to identify him as an asset.

Umm....Did you read your own articles compared to those I posted? The information hanging him out to dry was before and after.

Maybe this is what people have been cryptically referring to as 'selling people' and the whole point was to trade him for the Iranian nuke deal. It's clear each "official" story is junk though. The 'double agent' story doesn't work because there are counter claims and US-Sources before and after contradicting that. And foreign European sources.

Doesn't add up, sorry. Declassfy the CIA docs on it so we can get the whole picture, but no, those are actual classified information.

The HRC emails are discussing what's hitting the news. Also, "friend" can refer to anyone of any relation. Bush and Cheney probably called Saddam "friend" too. Doesn't mean anything. The emails seem to be talking about the state's exposure in media and that's really about it.

Agree. I don't like Trump but he hasn't sold our country down the river for profits. I will not even go into the foreign policy fiascos.... just look at what is left of the middle east.

Considering the US and Iran have no diplomatic relations and the fact an Iranian national walked into the Pakistan Embassy in the US wanting to go back to Iran the list of suspects narrows considerably. The next question would be how many Iranian nationals walked into the Pakistan Embassy asking for help in returning to Iran during the time frame referenced in the emails?.

Rumors are one thing. Emails verifying the persons identity via the SecState and one of her underlings is the nail in the coffin.

I gave no opinion on what cnn releases, I posted that I doubt the info was cleared by the united states government to give to cnn.
