Murky and Lurky fought the good fight.....

Murky loved his cousin lurky and at one point in time
Murky just sang, ''brother can you spare some time?''
Lurky spoke as if his dimes weren't a joke...
"Lets toss these here coins...
And go smell the flowers?''
"our wives will have to attend.'' Murky looked over his shoulder...
Mrs. Murky was very excited, ''will lurky's wife like to be invited?''
"The flower power cat has got mad talent!' the pretty ladies agreed
And off they went,
A vision of pure fluffy goodness... and all the right moves...
And so the four, were now six.
Happy in the pretty kitty mix
"don't forget the Sushi!'' meow... mow, mew, pip, and squeak... kiss.

This makes me think of Tales From Watership Down. Don't know if you have read it, or the precursor. The sequel is a bunch of short stories, and one in particular has the same flavor as this.
