Bill Clinton Severe Parkinson's Disease

Bill had quadruple bypass heart surgery in 2004. His arteries were 90% blocked, from what I recall. His heart must be deteriorating.

I think Bill is just great. I'm sad to see him age the way he has, and he did look pretty frail at the DNC from what I saw on TV. I don't much care for Hillary, but we'll see if my opinion changes I suppose. Hopefully she takes care of him, if and when he needs it. Since it was brought up, I didn't care about any of their relationship scandals. To me that should have stayed between Bill, Hillary, and Monica. IMO it wasn't the nations business who he was getting BJ's from.

Actually, the OP brought up Clinton's strength, which was nullified if he ever had any, by his taking the strength of this country down by Starr having to investigate his sex life...because HE LIED UNDER OATH.

That is no symbol of strength.

So according to this, we should be hearing of his passing in the next 3 months or so. Everyone has been watching his declining health and saw how obviously frail he was last night. It's not a huge leap to think it could happen or be faked. Do you know much about the author of this book? If it's trustworthy info?

The book received some criticism and was attacked for being poorly researched. But I haven't read the book and, who knows, maybe it says she's untrustworthy. We all know about that nowm

I don't think he looks that frail. He's lost weight due to eating a plant-based diet for the last 5 years. I don't know if it has reversed his heart disease, but I don't think he's on death's door either.

She seemed annoyed at Monica for being such an attention seeker. She seemed completely not phased by Bill doing the naughty. This happens only when there is a marriage where this is part of the understanding. You can take from that what you want, but the "cheating" is not their definition of it..its just public persona.

She didn't care. She was forced to pretend to care and all she said then was that she is sticking with Bill.

My family has long been friends with many politicians; while not all of them cheat on their wives, many of them do. It's part of the "culture" of power. Not that this justifies it, Bill just pissed the wrong people off.

I don't know... in her own words (from your link) she writes....

Clinton described herself as "dumbfounded, heartbroken and outraged" when her husband told her about his relations with Lewinsky.

"Gulping for air, I started crying and yelling at him," she wrote. "'What do you mean? What are you saying? Why did you lie to me?'"

Anyway, nobody will ever know what she felt and thought except for her.

Regarding the whole Lewinski thing in general, my views on it have changed over the years. At the time it happened I was I was in my very early twenties and was just starting to become politically aware. At the time I thought that in many (most) ways it was much ado about nothing. The affair anyway... not necessarily the lying to congress. I'd say that was the first time that I realized that it's not the thing someone does that causes the most trouble... it's the lying and covering up afterward. Unfortunately, I actually had to learn that lesson for myself some years later (although not due to anything to do with my wife)... but I digress.

At the time I thought that where Billy sticks his willy is between him and his wife and the woman he's sticking it to. I will say at the time though, the fact that things happened in or just outside the oval office bugged me a bit. At the time I was starting my career and I was thinking that if I were to have an affair, it would be none of my employers business.... BUT... If I was banging some woman IN THE OFFICE ON MY DESK.... that's another story. That's not a huge issue, but just something I had thought at the time.

As I mentioned, over the years my views on that whole thing has changed. On the political end I've realized that it's a dangerous position that President Clinton put himself in with these kinds of antics because he left himself open to all sorts of hypotheticals (blackmail, etc) and it also gave (legitimate) reasons to put many of his decisions under further scrutiny. If memory serves me correctly, didn't the U.S. bomb an aspirin factory at some point right when some further news about the affair was going to break? Although the military action may have been a worthwhile one (hitting the wrong location notwithstanding) but people were wondering if the affair breaking-news had anything to do with it and I can't say I blame them.

That's just the political stuff (which there is always too much of). Here's where my views on this REALLY changed and why, as an adult, I became disgusted by the whole situation with Lewinski.

Nowadays I'm somewhere between middle-upper management for a relatively large agency. Over the past several years I have been assigned interns (high school seniors and college students). Because of my industry, there are more males than females (although I'm happy to say that that ration has fallen into balance a bit more year by year). Typically my interns are young men. However, from time to time I am assigned an intern that is a female. While the President of the United States I am not, to a late teen or very young twenty year old my position may "seem" impressive. Over my career I've built up a great amount of respect from those higher up the ladder at my agency, from contractors, from representatives of various government agencies and some of the local politicians.

While most of my colleagues just assign their interns to make photocopies (or do basically nothing altogether), I try to give mine the most educational and fulfilling and challenging experience as possible. So I bring my interns with me to important meetings, bring them out to the site and (hopefully) give them a feel for what the job is really like. To a kid (late teens/early twenties) this can seem like a big deal (especially when their fellow interns are doing nothing and at times get jealous of mine). At times this can lead to some confusion on the young intern's mind.

I wrote all that to write this... Although I'm not the President of the United States, I've had a few female interns (NOT ALL FEMALE INTERNS but some) that obviously started to think there was something more going on than a working mentor-intern relationship. I've never had to worry about it because I always keep things professional and when others veer off course I bring conversations back to work related issues.

I also understand that interns are kids. I don't mean that as an insult to those in their late-teens/early-twenties but I'm saying that it is impossible for them to see the world the way they will twenty or so years later.

So, presently, as an adult, when I think about how Bill Clinton ABSOLUTELY took advantage of that woman, Ms. Lewinski I'm completely disgusted by him. He has MANY good qualities in the sense that he is a fantastic tactician and politician and his delivery is far better than Obama's. Those qualities, ultimately, do not make up for the fact that during his tenure as president, he was a filthy perverted old man. He was 49 and President of the United States and she was 23 or 24 at the time and an intern.

As it pertains to Hillary. I can only say that she proclaims to be a defender against the "War on Women" yet, even based on the link you provided, literally attacked a young and in my opinion vulnerable/impressionable woman by calling her a "narcissistic loony toon."

Further, she portrays Bill Clinton almost as the victim when she indicates that "to his credit he tried to break it off, tried to pull away..." So he took advantage of a young woman (telling her Lord knows what) and then, AFTER he got his rocks off, he wanted to put her away like clearing a computer's internet history after watching porn. Hillary thought those actions were a good thing?

Furthermore, according to your link, "HRC insists, no matter what people say, it was gross inappropriate behavior but it was consensual (was not a power relationship)." I already explained the superior-subordinate situation and the Defender of the Victims of the War on Women doesn't see that?
