Do you have any favorite inspirational songs that always lift your spirits?
My personal favorite inspirational song is "Hold On" by Wilson Phillips. It may be corny, but it always gets the job done for me. I've never
listened to the song and not felt better because of it.
Wow! Hold On by Wilson Phillips. Alright. I actually shared a glass of wine with Michelle Phillips at her house in Hollywood once and we spoke of
Chyna and her late husband...some incredible insight.
a reply to: Profusion great thread, I remember fighting with an ex about my personal issues and he was nice enough to listen to
this on the radio with me... we were in his car and apparently I didn't give him enough gas money to decide on what to listen to... he actually was
okay with my choice,
seen this video on TV... when MTV was still okay...
MTV was once pretty fun. I've realized that sometimes I won't have anything substantial to add as a reply to your posts. I know I promised I would
reply to you if you posted in one of my threads, but I think that's a promise I can't keep. Please forgive me.

a reply to: Profusion I don't care... you sound like my married friend from boot camp...he says stuff like that a bunch... can't
promise anything.
Sometimes people make a good point, and I can't see anything to add. Do you want me to reply and write, "Good post!" That's not my style. I almost
never make posts unless I have something significant to add.

funny, great post! Thanks for the reply.
For me, it's definitely a song from the band "Live" called "Brothers Unaware".
The song is about how we are all connected to each other - we are all brothers and sisters of the human race.
Some lyrics:
So many people
I know only a few
Yes I may say that I love this man
And that man
But what keeps me from loving you?
Date of birth, geography
The color of my skin, ideology
You got ten fingers, two legs, one nose
Like me
Just like me
And it's as simple as that
You see
....
Live - Brothers Unaware
The name of the song is very fitting in today's world with so much hate, bickering, division, and fighting happening everywhere... brothers unaware
indeed.
Whenever I'm feeling overwhelmed by all the crap going on in the world, I put this song on and it brings me back to my fundamental way of thinking -
we're all one big family (albeit a dysfunctional family) but a family just the same.
I have to remind myself of that every once in a while.
Like an unsung melody
The truth is waiting there for you to find it
It's not a blight, but a remedy
A clear reminder of how it began
Deep inside your memory
Turned away as you struggled to find it
You heard the call as you walked away
A voice of calm from within the silence
And for what seemed an eternity
You're waiting, hoping it would call out again
You heard the shadow reckoning
Then your fears seemed to keep you blinded
You held your guard as you walked away
When you think all is forsaken
Listen to me now (all is not forsaken)
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness can show you the light
An unforgivable tragedy
The answer isn't' where you think you'd find it
Prepare yourself for the reckoning
For when your world seems to crumble again
Don't be afraid, don't turn away
You're the one who can redefine it
Don't let hope become a memory
Let the shadow permeate your mind and
Reveal the thoughts that were tucked away
So that the door can be opened again
Within your darkest memories
Lies the answer if you dare to find it
Don't let hope become a memory
When you think all is forsaken
Listen to me now (all is not forsaken)
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness can show you the light
Sickening, weakening
Don't let another somber pariah consume your soul
You need strengthening, toughening
It takes an inner dark to rekindle the fire burning in you
Ignite the fire within you
When you think all is forsaken
Listen to me now (all is not forsaken)
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness can show you the light
Don't ignore, listen to me now (all is not forsaken)
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness
Can show you the light
