This isn't even a convention at this point.

It's a sob story for an anti-gun agenda.

Priest gets his head chopped off by ISIS militants in France yesterday but apparently taking guns away from law abiding citizens in the real issue.....Pathetic agenda driven liberals, all bought and paid for.

Jim Gordon gone?

Guns, do they want to take them away from cops too?

Do they even listen to themselves?

No one has a gun but the authorities.

Yeah, that'll turn out fine, what could go wrong?

We can't play to Americans worst FEARS.

I'm glad this convention has taken place.

Now we get to see who the authoritarians are. The Hillary-synchophants and boot-lickers for bigger, cheating, corrupt government.

A couple of things on all of these gun control speakers.

1. As I have said before, I feel for anyone that has lost someone due to violence, and do not blame them for having emotional opinions.

2. Those emotional opinions don't make them logical arguments.

3. Talk of Orlando shooting, but they only mention the gun, not the shooter or his beliefs in radical Islam.

4. No mention that no proposed gun laws would have stopped any of these shooters they are talking about from getting guns.

5. Apparently Trumps convention was too dark, but repeating dead children over and over again is a warm and fuzzy message.

6. On that note, wasn't all the Hillary supporters complaing about Trumps crime stats, and even Obama came out and said "Violent crimes are at the lowest point they have been since Reagan" So if there are more guns, and Crime is down, why all of the fear mongering?

Strange isn't it.

I am not sure this is even 'dark' as such.. it's just all over the place. A barrage of emotional blackmail based on individual incidents.

Admit you saw the exact same thing at the RNC and we'll be on the same page.

At least the DNC is not blaming Trump for the deaths of these people.

The RNC blames Hillary, not the radical Islamists that actually killed those men in Benghazi.

The irony is thick...

A Bit different as Hillary was SOS and lied about the events. She was not accused of murder, she was accused of being personally responsible for the deaths. Her lies and inaction leading up to the events, at least in the eyes of the mother talking, is why she was accused.

There is no link to Trump on gun deaths - but he is the only person who has a valid strategy to reduce gun crime.

True, but either way, they use fear to push forth an agenda. AR-15 is the enemy... and then when someone uses a different gun, I guess that needs to be banned? And soon, knives will need to be registered. Democrats need to lay off the right to bear arms. They already spy on our every move-- every DEATH-- EVERY ONE we later find out there were warning. So the TRUTH is, it's an intelligence problem. Not a gun problem.

I agree. I am pro-2nd and I also agree with the SCOTUS. Giving the states the right to require background checks with certain criteria is constitutional.

I was only pointing out the differences in the conventions and the ironic hypocrisy.

By the way, no one is going to confiscate firearms.

Republicans need to give up the climate-change debate. Abandon the religious pandering, abandon the xenophobia, the anti-science, and the general negative angry vibe... and you would do a lot better drawing in disillusioned democrats.

Well you just agreed with me regardless of what I thought of the RNC, unless your opinion is based on my views. That would be odd.

But I have eyes wide open.

Maybe you need glasses.

I feel like I am beating a dead horse here, but all of this talk of gun violence, and no talk of the people taht commit the crimes. The former Philly police commissioner is talking about all of the violence he has seen in Philly and Chicago. Why not acknowledge that much of that is gang related, and black on black crime, and much of that carnage is caused by a failed war on drugs that hurts minority communities more than anyone??

This is what gets me about the democratic platform on guns. On one hand, they want more gun laws, but they ignore that many of the people that use or possess guns illegally are young black men, and then on the other hand they say too many young black men are imprisoned? Won't more and stricter laws lead to more imprisonment of young black men?

How about instead of blaming guns, our politicians actually do things to help inner cities like repealing the war on drugs instead of just ignoring them like we have in cities like Baltimore and Chicago?

Hillary was not responsible for their deaths.

Just like Trump is not responsible for the death of others.

The hypocrisy is in the message of the conventions.

You're absolutely right about the hypocrisy. And I agree, no one is going to take away guns and I agree with well thought out background checks. The no fly-no buy... It's sketchy. Right to bear arms is about protecting against a tyrannical government... so how do you do background checks under a tyrannical government, where militia aren't placed on a list for questioning government? That's the problem with background checks. It has to be truly common sense that all parties can agree with.

I'm talking about the apparent missed irony of the idea that black lives matter which thrives on the idea of cops shooting unarmed black males, but today is all about only the cops being armed ...

You would think those two positions would make any thinking person do this:

Interesting, eh?

The GOP are supposedly the fear mongers, acknowledging and wanting to confront extremists of Islam responsible for over 28 THOUSAND deaths globally in 2015 ALONE, yet the liberals are suggesting the bigger threat is Bob down the road who likes to go duck hunting every other month and take a few trips to the local range between. Not even all the illegal handguns in inner cities, but Bob, the duck hunter, or Bo, who has a gun under his bed in case of an intruder.

This is so devoid from reality it's proof it's an agenda driven by special interests.
