'bikini man' suspect arrested

I was reading this news story and it seemed like just another run of the mill story about another sicko illegal immigrant,that is until i got to this part at the end:

He is being held without bond at the Somerset County Detention Center on an immigration detainer as a threat to national security, police said.

Crisfield Police Chief Mike Tabor said the investigation into Garcia is still active and ongoing, and is “highly intense” in nature.

highly intense investigation, threat to national security? now I`m really curious about what`s going on with this dude and what the police have turned up.
Is that just normal procedure to hold an illegal as a threat to national security before deporting them or could there be something more to this story?

In theory, applying the threat to national security or public safety label is a way for ICE to be able to extend the length of time somebody can be detained. It's supposed to be supported by some sort of reasonable belief that the person is a threat (prior convictions of one sort or another, evidence found during the arrest, etc) but, shocking absolutely no one I'm sure, it's sometimes full of fluff and just a way for ICE to be lazy about dealing with somebody.

They should make him wear a ladies' bikini at his trial along with his wrist and ankle chains.

ok, I was thinking maybe they found something in his house linking him to terrorists, i`m going to keep an eye on the story to see if they have updates in the coming days/weeks.
The guy said he`s been in the country illegally for 10 years.

He gave police permission to search his residence at 26360 Minden Ave., Crisfield, where officers found women’s underwear, bikinis and pornographic movies, but also a lot of young girls’ clothing and underwear.

Some of the items were identified by their owners and returned.

WHAT? who would want their underwear back after it was in this guys house? no thank you, just burn it i`ll buy some new underwear.

well that is just next week. you want him released on bail??? Maybe somebody from the repub convention will bail him out and he can be your savior blaming Hillary and all. lol...
