I am unsure about proper procedure for posting articles, but here is an excerpt with the full article link below:

A police officer in Baton Rouge resigned Thursday after a local news channel revealed that he sent text messages in which he wished that fellow officers “would pull a Ferguson” on a “bunch of monkeys,” The Advocate reports. Fifteen-year-veteran Michael Elsbury resigned on Thursday after text messages he sent to a female friend were brought to the attention of his superiors. In one message, Officer Elsbury — whose patrol included the area around the historically black Southern University — wrote that blacks are “nothing but a bunch of monkeys,” and that the “only reason they have this job is the ****** in them.” It is unclear what “job” he is referring to.

I am not surprised by this, and I am sure a lot more police officers feel this way. It is nonetheless disturbing...it's difficult to deny the racism that exists in the police forces in America.

Unfortunately, it is not just some police. The racism that exists in this country borders on insanity.
We used to think time would make it stop....

This is from 2014.

Let's see how many stars and flags this gets.

I'm betting A LOT.

So because it happened 2 years ago we should just pretend it did not happen ?....

There is a fairly clear agenda to push a war between people and police ...i would think the article is relevant considering the current climate....

Relevant to furthering the divide maybe. How far back should we go to keep fueling class warfare?

I'm still navigating my way around this site, so I'm not sure why you deem it noteworthy to mention the stars and flags in this case. I also don't think the sentiment, (that this cop and many others harbor), has changed regardless of what year this incident may have occurred.

Let me fix this for you..
"I am not surprised by this , and Im sure a lot more people feel this way.."

Racism is a terrible thing that right now both the white and black races perpetrate and suffer from.
When people start admitting racism originates from all sides of the equation then we might solve it someday..

Kind of seems like a joke in rather poor taste.

How many people has the officer actually shot?

Got caught trying to jump on the cops-are-satan train and forgot to check your sources?

The story itself kind of throws a wrench in the idea of "systemic racism", considering he was put on administrative leave for a conversation he had, was asked to resign, and publicly condemned by the department.

I wasn't hiding anything...this still happened (and in Baton Rouge where there was a recent controversial shooting of a black man). It's further evidence or proof of how some cops regard black citizens in America. You don't seem too mad about that though.

People are dumb and star and flag things before they read the thread.

It's a two year old topic.
