Would suck if my name was, "Buttstink".

Suck even more if it was "AutomaticCertainDeathMachine"

I'll be exited if I can get a return on it.

But either way, it's something.

Oh my gosh!! How extra WONDERFUL for you! I love creative genius, especially when it may be credited with saving lives by aiding surgeons with the tasks they face. Your name will forever be on the books! I'll bet your family is proud of you!

Tell us what led you to invent your item. Can you post a picture of it?

My middle son was a fantastic hunter, but foremost an AVID fisherman. He was working on a jig like bass lure that had so much promise when he passed last year. I sure wish I could get his work and fishing equipment from the POS female he was married to at the time because I'd love to try to figure where he was with it and possibly finish it for him. He was going to name it for his daughter (Bella's Baits), but I think I would name it for him.

At any rate, so glad for your success! 👍 👏 🎉

I don't want to post a picture of it until I get the go-ahead from legal.

It's a simple device though.

It'll control lines from SCD, tourniquet systems, vacuum lines for trochars for laparoscopic cases, and cabling for ESU's.

To be very general, it's a "smart" tray.

It'll ease up clutter on OR suites and give a one-stop shopping for most instrumentation lines needed in various surgical cases.

It'll fit under any type of surgical table, and is mainly stainless steel for easy cleaning and sterilization.

Any more specific and I'll be providing the diagrams.

But thank you.

thanks everyone.

last year, I tinkered and invented a very minor device used in surgeries.

It has gone through several processes. Submissions, legal gobbly-gook, further applications, design redo's.

It has reached the stage where prototypes were actually tested.

Minor design changes were made.

Today I was notified that the device will be named after me.

A Health company is contemplating a 350K grant to mass produce and have sole user rights.

More legal stuff.

Even though I won't have a road named after me, I will never land on the Moon or be placed in the history books for something awesome, I will leave, as a small legacy, something with my name on it that will aid in the treatment of people.

So yay. Just wanted to crow a little bit and was getting tired of the political stuff.

Well you go boy! I bet you are proud, as you should be.. Nice work!

Way to go DBCooper, er, Cowboy!

You are now a player! Swindle, cheat, steal... uh, "invest" wisely! Couldn't happen to a better cowboy!

Early last year, I entered a "Surgical Innovations" engineering contest. I won and slowly started developing it refining, do all the legal things to maintain ownership of the unit.

DBCowboy - that is fabulous, you should crow. I am so proud of you and what a wonderful, happy, satisfying end to hard work. Way to go and thanks for sharing. Made my day to see someone succeed and follow through.

I sure hope you do, but it's so cool your idea is going to be helping people and also that even if it's just a little blip in the course of human history, you'll be recorded somewhere.

Legitimately excited for you.

So impressed! You have every right to be very proud. And hope it makes you gobs of money and people bow down to you and say prayers in your name on their knees.

Truly, congrads! You must be one smart cookie.

How and why did you come up with your idea? I'm just a tad nosey about how people formulate their ideas for things they didn't train for? I'm always looking for the shorter-short-cut and ways to improve on my existing thingies that just cry for HELP to work better!
