Wow! Sheriff Clarke is the man! Make this guy AG!

I can't wait to hear him at the RNC!

His first question is, "Did they protest or have any riots over the deaths of police officers in Dallas or Baton Rouge?"

He proceeds to give Don Lemon a beat down on how the media is fueling this anti police rhetoric and massive divide between races now apparent in America.

Amazing.

Sheriff Clarke is a true American hero speaking truth to power.

To paraphrase Hillary's scolding and blaming white Americans:

"CNN anchors need to do a better job of listening when African Americans talk"

I like when he says, "there is only 1 group of people in this country who cares about black people in this country and it's law enforcement officers who go out into these neighborhoods and protect them"

I never thought about it like that.

BLM didn't murder any police.

Good point...I guess.

BLM is an ideology.

People subscribing to that ideology murdered cops and celebrate the murder of innocent cops, not the incorporeal ideology itself.

He said "the deaths of police officers", not "police officers murdered by BLM". Thank you, for exemplifying precisely one of the key points this thread is addressing. There is no better learning tool than a real-life example.

BLM may not have directly murdered anybody but neither did Charles Manson.

Is that kind of like saying that not all Nazi's were bad it was just a few bad apples that ruined the bunch???

I mean they did good things for Germany before they started frying everyone and invading other countries.

BLM certainly isn't helping when it comes to the rhetoric that is flying all over the mainstream and social media.

However before the police get out their violins and start complaining about all the crap they get. They have to remember that the atmosphere present is one THEY CREATED.

It falls under reaping what you sow. I certainly don't condone violence in either direction.

However taking responsibility for and acknowledging their share of the events that got us to this point is something that needs to be done. You can't fix a problem if you don't know what went wrong. Police, by and large, still like to deflect and marginalize these issues. Not just when it comes to the black community but the public as a whole.

I think a lot of the schism between the police and the community comes from the enforcement of drug and traffic policy.

“Pigs in a blanket; smell like bacon,” Masri and fellow activists chanted through the streets. The activist is also heard blaming police for the shooting deaths of the two NYPD officers — Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu — who were gunned down by Ismaaiyl Brinsley on Saturday while sitting in their squad car in Brooklyn.

Brinsley also used the derogatory term “pigs” to refer to police in social media posts he sent shortly before murdering the officers.

“I’m putting wings on pigs today. They take 1 of ours … let’s take 2 of theirs,” Brinsley posted on Instagram shortly before executing the two officers.

“This may be my final post…I’m putting pigs in a blanket,” Brinsley wrote.

The 28-year-old Brinsley also made references to Michael Brown and Eric Garner, two black men killed by police officers.

But they did protest over the deaths of black men being shot. Did they protest over police officers being shot? No.

He said "the deaths of police officers", not "police officers murdered by BLM".

Nice twist. Are they protesting or demonstrating their own misdeeds or the misdeeds of their fellow officers in regards to unjust police killings of civilians?

Just their own ranks exclusively, I see.

Manson may have personally murdered someone but, that's not what he was convicted of. He was convicted of murder by proxy (not sure what the exact legal term is).
