I think its a way of belittling the decision of the UK by sarcastically over exaggerating the enormity of the dire situation in which we now find ourselves.

Or

He's a stupid, drunk, humourless twerp trying to be funny.

hmmm... might be possible (he comes from luxembourgh , their language differs slightly , but he was speaking regular french ) but not regular idiomatic usage. or he was drunk?,or a joke?, or even the truth?. But planets is planets.

You know I really need a big occams razor on this one.

fwiw : I think he was trying to provoke reactions the question is why ?

I have no doubt people from other planets are really concerned with what happens within the EU.

Then again it could just be a translation issue , the other planets leaders or the other leaders of the planet ?

I don't think people who are fluent in Juncker's native language are 'lost in translation' with what he said too.

I have to correct myself.

Apparently french is not Juncker's native tongue.

So it's quite possible he has no clue what the hell he actually said.

Mystery solved !

More info...

Before everyone starts calling him (Jean-Claude Juncker) a drunk...

But the most stormy incident happened when Hungarian premier Viktor Orbán arrived and Juncker addressed him, using the word "dictator", following it with a warm handshake and a slap on the cheek.[57] Later spokesperson Margaritis Schinas called the event as only a "joke". "Juncker is known for his very informal style", he said and added "I wouldn’t make anything else out of this".[58] After the strange incidents some websites questioned Juncker's sobriety.[59]

We all know there are no dictators in europe don't we ?
So he jokes a lot ? Maybe Eu is a joke too.
He isn't a drunk , sorry about that. Just some websites Incriminating him without proof.

1 He knows more ??
2 He is joking ??

On topic : If it's (1) anyone ? might disclosure look like this ?

The sitting President of the European Commission wouldn't throw words out in the empty space, especially on topic like that.

(Neither do they drink before speaking at the parliament, as some wise posters proposed).

One thing is the political wrangling in the EU about Brexit, and it is a legitimate process that follows its course according to the established rules.

Another thing is the president himself in a speech that is recorded, to tell the parliament and the world that he met leaders of other planets. Indeed, in connection to Brexit, to the future of EU. But that particular word surpasses Brexit many times over.

It is not even funny. Those who think so, just don't get the message to the world just released. We are at a crossroad,
EU and the world. Logically, Juncker said what he said. Hopefully, that will be followed by more, by real ET Contact soon.

Or perhaps, as mentioned above, he used improper syntax?
How would "other leaders of the planet" compare to "leaders of other planets?"

Oh the hell with it. He was at the interplanetary council meeting. They are all very bummed about Brexit.

Suppose what he said was so for a moment . . .

What business would it be of some far off ET civilisation anyway?

It could be a mistake, as he had just used the word "planet". That kind of mistake is common.

What I'm saying is that it's possible his french is not 100% fluent.

Therefore, it's quite possible that he did not speak properly and missed a word here and there.

For all we know, maybe he meant to say:

"I have spoken to other leaders on the planet."

So... taking into account the fact that french is not his native language, then assuming that he just simply 'misspoke' makes a hell of a lot more sense than jumping to the conclusion that he's in direct contact with the Alien Federation.

To be clearer about what I meant, he had just said (rough translation from what I think he says, I don't understand him well at the beginning) that "we are flying to he horizons that await us, and those horizons those of Europe and of the whole planet".

That part is missing from the first video but appears on the second.

PS: yes, I speak French.

If they've gone behind everyone's back and made deals, then it would probably come out after the fact as "tough, it's a done deal, what you going to do about it?"

Politicians do that all the time.

Could it be as simple as hes not talking his native language? The French language places the adjective before the noun, but when translating in your head its easy to mix this up and place the adjective after the noun.

What say you? (Do you like what i did there)

I do not think he speaks literally about aliens and stuff. In my opinion given the current status of EU, i think Mr. Junker have resemble "countries" as "planets" to make a point. As for the leaders from afar, that is a reference to the other lands(USA-China etc.), that watching nervously about what is happening in EU and the direction its heading.

Peace

I think your translation is wrong/incomplete. there is a cc translation that differs and the translation on the website differs from your rough translation. and I also translate it different.

.... inteligent d autre planet ???

he says clearly d autre planet ok... (autre planet= not our planet)
I've lived in france. Ok it might not be disclosure but he actually said this. Why I'dont know ?

Aside from this, who actually voted for these guys? I didn't and nobody I know did. Furthermore I had never heard of any of these self elected twits until the started making rules.
We know nothing about them, nor their mental stability. That's why Britain should stay out of the nuthouse EU. It's run by weirdos with no credibility.
