I get tired of hearing the news media talking heads saying that AR-15's are designed to kill. AR-15's and the like AND military rounds in general are designed to wound NOT kill. He would have done far better with a .308 or a .300 Win Mag.... the .300 Win Mag is a better round

I was only curious because in an exchange with one of resident leo's in a thread was explaining how easy it was to pick off so many people with a rifle like he had.....i was just trying to get the picture being limited in my gun knowledge.....inconsistencies like this make it very difficult for the layman

The Ar15 is a poor choice in close quarters if you are going for mass effect as well. It's a carbine.
A Vepr 12 with a shot spreader would be FAR more effective, but we aren't dealing with warriors here, we are dealing with criminals.
