Charlie Veitch And The Death Of Ian Tomlinson

Ian was walking home from work. Police blocked his path on several occasions.

Ian met another group of police. He turned and walked away with his hands in his pockets. He was attacked. The following video shows the ferocity of the baton strike to his thigh from behind. This strike was followed quickly by a sharp shove which pitched him forehead first onto the pavement. This was a practised manoeuvre. A dead leg followed by shoving the target face first to the floor. Where did the assailant practice this technique?

I particularly ask you to note the protestors and bankers embracing at the instant Ian is hit. Other footage records the conversation of these protesters and bankers as they settle their differences and decide love is the best way forward. That at the exact time Ian is hit! You couldn't make it up. How could the police claim the crowd was threatening when such heartfelt reconciliation was taking place just feet away?


Ian walked a short distance then collapsed and died from his head injury. Lucy Apps gave first aid.
