CBC News said via Twitter the 68-year-old artist's condition is unknown, although he was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat problem known as Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome after another onstage collapse in London in 2003.

I heard he is recovering well...personally I have never heard of this heartbeat problem before...arrhythmia yes, Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome? Nope!

Hope he's alright.His heart has taken alot of strain over the years.

I gotta hand it to these old school musicians. Many of them continue to give their fans everything they've got long after they've gotten all the financial gain they could ever want. Realistically, there is always money to be made as long as people still want to see them perform but many of them don't need the money.

Hope he recovers well! He needs to retire, he’s too old now for this and clearly cannot take a full breath. End of the day, if that was a footballer even in their mid-twenties, then there is a strong chance that they wouldn’t be playing again. That’s very close to a stroke and he has to take his doctor’s advice now.

His name was Robert Paulson.

I have went to 3 Meatloaf events in my life. Two of which he collapsed on stage. The word was , he put so much emotion into his songs , he "fainted".
I am hoping he is OK as he was the other times

BBC is reporting “severe dehydration” as the cause ( Meat Loaf 'stable' after stage collapse ). I am glad the stage didn’t collapse! That is a totally different headline and they should know better!
