Reports are emerging that Pumpkin Head has been killed by a suicide bomber in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang yesterday. But, don’t start celebrating just yet as we fear an unsophisticated ruse may be at work in an attempt to flush out political opponents. However, citing official sources, the East Asia Tribune claims that a report filed by North Korean state media earlier yesterday announced that ‘Kim Jong-un, chairman of the Worker’s Party of Korea and supreme leader of the DPRK, was killed in an explosion in Pyongyang which was believed to have been carried out by a female suicide bomber.’

Is this for real? Seems legit so far, though I've seen a few other denials also.

On a serious note, if true, who would take over? Does he have a living younger relative or something? Would it go to the next in command with their military?

He dies all the time, doesn't he? Since he actually doesn't do anything wrong internationally, its getting harder to pin stuff on him, for no reason.

I would say no. Kim Jong-un is probably alive and well. The source given in the PattayaOne article is a well known satire paper in China.

The Korea Times says it is not true:

The Defense Ministry denied a rumor Friday that a suicide bomber has killed North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. A foreign Internet site spread the rumor.

"As far as we know, that is not true," a ministry spokesman said during a press briefing. "The intelligence authorities believe the rumor has low credibility." Source

If he does go, it is more likely to be by military coup. Nobody else has much chance of getting past his guards. Though if his bodyguards shoot him they might well use "suicide bomber" as a cover story.

Lol, interesting quote! As far as they know? Come on, they know! He's either dead or alive and his people know exactly which he is.

That said, I doubt it is true. He seems to get killed a lot but never actually dies. I'll believe it when I see it.
