You were the one who said failure to call it Islamic terrorism is just political correctness.

Yes, but INSISTENCE on calling it Islamic Terrorism is also political correctness. It's just the conservative version. I've been hassled more for my choice of words on this thread than any other. Seems people are "uncomfortable" with my language choices. I suggest they find a safe space.

I think they're uncomfortable with error, rather than choice of words.

So it isn't Islamic terrorism ... but it is?

What are you talking about? I didn't say that.

Or you think it is, but you aren't going to say so?

I think it is, after everything I've read here. I have said so. Pages ago. Are my language choices still bothering you?

Basically, it comes to this: Both the neighbors of the San Bernardino couple and the neighbor of this guy noticed some really odd activity that they thought they ought to report, but they were paralyzed by their own fear of being thought racist.

Yes, THEIR fear. THEIR issue. THEIR responsibility. As I said, in EITHER case, I am NOT afraid of other people THINKING I'm a racist or whatever. I'm not afraid of other people's thoughts. If you are, that's on you.

the difference is there isn't a military group of radical christians declaring war on the world and trying to send us back to the stone age in some apocalyptic vision of jesus coming back to save the world and impose sharia law

i mean how obvious does it need to get before you look at reality folks

Good point, onequestion. Islam is amassing warriors with bombs and guns and they are determined to bring their form of governance to the west and the rest of the world. One or two Christian hick preachers does not an army make.

Why is ISIS trying to lure us into vaporising their caliphate?

Didn't you know? They believe their God will protect them from nuclear blasts and radiation. So they are putting their God to a test in effect. If they had nukes they would have wiped the rest of humanity out at their first chance, that we sit back and do nothing when they attack us only supports their belief that their God is protecting them. Obama is to blame, Trump is coming.

People talk about Christian Dominionism, but Muslims have their version called 12vers. 12vers believe they need to actively work to bring about the 12th Imam and the Mahdi. In order to do this, about 1/4 to 1/3 of the world's population needs to die. So nukes wouldn't bother them at all; they wouldn't even care if they died because they are working to further the cause of Islam so they go to Paradise.

12vers are typically Shi'a, so I don't know what manifestation this has in Sunni Islam, but I would assume it has some sort of manifestation. ISIS is a distillation of extreme Sunni Islam mixed with crazy.

So, no, I think being nuked is what they want. In fact, I'm pretty sure they want us to confront them. Part of the prophecy is for them to defeat the massed armies of the dajjal at a certain place. We represent that.

Time to go nuclear in the middle east .. that's what they want anyway .. let's show them!!!

That would have prevented this....how?

No prevention .. what's done is done .. there is no going back.

But we finally have to be really honest with ourselves and ask if we have failed with our "stay-away" policy.

Shock & Awe!

Then nuking an entire region would solve what?

You think Islamic terrorists only exist in Middle Eastern countries?

Killer was a security guard.

His parents from Afghanistan.

He called 911 before entering a gay dance club saying that he was doing this for ISIS.

He killed 50.

injured 53.

SWAT Team killed him.

ISIS has claimed responsibility.

Who ruled it out?

So there just happened to be two night club shootings, on the same weekend, in the same city. Ok.

It is not and you know it. This is the difference.

If a US citizen walked in a gay club and shot 50 people and said he hated gays and was upset it would be a mass shooting. There is a personal reason and many people are killed.

If a US citizen, who pledges himself to a terror group, enters a bar and kills 50 people it is an act of terror, and in my mind, an act of war.

Historically, if you looked at statistics, if you lumped them as mass shootings it would show not terror activity. That is the difference in the classification.

We know where ISIS leadership is. Are the bombers on the way? They give interviews. They are not hiding in caves. No. Instead we are told as a country to be more tolerant and to ban guns.

Whatever they're uncomfortable with, it's not my problem. I didn't make any error in reserving judgment until I had a sufficient amount of information. Now that I do, I fully believe that this mass shooting was indeed a terrorist attack inspired by ISIS.

On page 30, I didn't have the information I needed to make that assessment.
