Also in the Nicene Creed Jesus' supposed death isn't even mentioned, only that he was crucified and brought to a tomb. This shows the subject was controversial up to and following the Nicene Council.

That!

Jesus may have been dead to the soldiers at Calvary, but he was evidently not dead enough, since he would live to tell the story to Rosemary disguised as a gardener three days later.

And this!...

....Is very interesting, indeed.

Well given Roman soldiers weren't armed with lances or spears, but were armed with Pilum, I'd put money on the stabbing device being a Pilum.

Read various interesting stories on it, from the nazis searching for it to Patton getting hold of it and it driving him insane. The mythology surrounding it is definitely strange. Whether or not it even exists is something else entirely.

Devil's in the details, sir.

Haha! A good reply to my rather snarky comment.

Yes the Kukri is the blade used by Gurkha's. My avatar is in memory to my father who was presented with a Kukri by the regiment he was seconded to while in Cyprus (EOD Instructor), as well as in recognition of one of the most feared warriors on the planet.

I love your anecdote about the Nepalese police! It's one I've bever heard before.

A fighter friend, back in the days, told me the story about the Gurkha police and their ways with troublesome subjects. I thought it sounded plausible, so I've treated it like truth ever-since, and retold it, since knowing that a proper Gurkha can impose enough fear on a goat from fifty yards away, for it so fall over stiff all rigid from fear, and there was actually a film made about this in 2009, «Men who stare at goats», based on a true story about an American special forces unit that tried out all kinds of weirdness, typically high on drugs, like, all the time, who among other things tried staring at goats to make them fall over probably inspired by stories about the Gurkhas.

Anyone who has served with a Gurkha soldier— let alone the famous British Gurkha regiment, knows, I mean, knows— the Gurkhas are capable of most things mythical and unbelievable, and are the last kind of soldiers you'd wanna end up fighting against. Before you'd released the safety on your weapon one of them may have already disabled your whole unit, with his bare hands, standing there in blood up to his neck just pointing at you, and that's when you'd likely go stiff with fear like the aforementioned goats. And the funny thing about that, is that I am not even joking.

Hey Ut. I've dealt with gangbangers, bikers , crackheads and stone cold killers. The scariest mofo's I've ever ran into were Gurkhas and Nepalese in general. Even the women have the killer stare. They are some of the friendliest and most generous people on the planet but don't ever cross them.

If you ever get the chance o go to Nepal it's an experience you will never forget and a place you will have a hard time leaving.

The spear represents betelgeuse the spear of the constellation of Orion.
in freemasonry beyond the 24th degree you learn about star worsip in relation to religion.
The spear of destiny I believe it was called. Typically of mythology the weapon often varies between a sword and a spear for the constellation of Orion. The fifth wound in the flesh is done by a roman soldier that is the biblical equivalent of the apostle paul who is the all seeing eye in freemasonry. The constellation of Orion is often associated with DEATH and weaponry.

Frodo Baggins was also stabbed with a Morgul-blade. So what? That makes two mythical figures that were stabbed, although TLOTR is more believable than the bible.

I always thought Orion was 'The Archer' the central stars above his belt representing the bow and arrow. I've never heard of it being represented as a spear.

Strange you should say that as that was the impression I had when meeting them. Truly blessed even in extreme hardship, or at least hardships we as westerners would define it. So many peoples across the globe seem to see the light where we would only see darkness.

I really need to start travelling more as I personally have lost the (dare I say) enlightenment I experienced when free to roam. So much to experience and so little time.

How did I become so burdened with menialities?

Same here. The Huntress can be seen below (named Orion mostly, but to me she is the Huntress) with the bow in the left hand and shoots in the right. Belt and knife (no point being a hunter archer without a knife and a belt of extra strings, eh?)

I also see Hercules as a woman, Deborah (the human queen of heaven, once Astarte/Venus incarnated), who thrust a tent peg (vav) through the head (entry wound, jod) of the enemy (Draco), assumes him and transforming him into something quite remarkable, a heroine life guard guarding the good lord's back, as she remains kneeling behind the good lord as he sits down on the throne. They be the oldest stories in Judaism. Whenever you encounter the word 'Tent' in the Torah, read 'Northern high sky'. It's not recommended calling the lamb of God (Ursa Minor)-- as the patriarcal penis, as did the poor sod Canaan. And he is not really doing anything with the poor animal, he just uses it as a cover for his genitalia. Like all those vases in soft-porn films they sent on German satellite-channels in the 80's. It's Draco I don't trust with the poor animal, I don't even trust it is an animal. And I certainly don't trust Hellenistic Greek morals.

BTW, this is how to arch ==>

Anyone care to find the pint where the Huntress' arrows hit the one in flight, and also, who is the incoming javelin aimed at?
