How many ways do alternative forums help TPTB?

From time to time I read about how websites like this will eventually be shutdown but I rarely read about how these sites help TPTB. Some examples:

1. Keeping alternative thinkers together can make them easier to track.

2. Feeling like you've accomplished something important by posting your opinions can keep you from doing anything substantial about any injustices you believe exist in the real world. You've got it off your chest and that may placate you to the point where you never take any real action concerning what you think is wrong.

I'm coining a new term for that, "Perky Pat Syndrome", I tried to describe the theory in the following thread:

Could the Philip K. Dick story "The Days of Perky Pat" reveal our current situation?

3. Having a good percentage of the alternative thinkers together in one place is a great way to study them and an efficient way to try and propagandize and mind control them too.

4. Sites like this are like a giant brainstorming session with very intelligent, contrarian thinkers giving their honest insights. I've never seen this mentioned before but...

Sites like this could be a goldmine for intelligence agencies, think tanks, corporations, etc. to glean ideas on an endless number of topics.

This site helps feed TPTB, a.k.a Archons, ethereal spiders and negative jinn with low vibration fear thanks to all the doom porn.

Stage 1) Doom porn lie gets posted on thread.
Stage 2) Members read it and get depressed.
Stage 3) IP Address of members get tracked to physical location.
Stage 4) Negative entity shows up at darkest morning hour (Black Hat shadow people) to monitor them. This is why so many members are paralyzed during OOBE sleep or attempted Astral Travel. Shadow creature feeds off them.

I often think so myself. I think ATS & GLP were started by theorists, and have since been flooded with western and Israeli paid shills that act as rudders and steer threads in their directions.

Remember that the US and Israel hired many many people to go online and defend their name and derail conspiracies. Places like ATS are their first stop.

Very good points raised here.
I've been thinking that myself for years now, how certain agencies can track and map alternative thinkers, through websites like this one.
No way to find out for sure of course, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.
After all, every alternative thinker is a potential threat to the status quo.

Hopefully, for their sake, they're not spending much money, or their Return on Investment would be simply awful. I see differing opinions, but I certainly don't see any kind of effective steering of topics toward or away, in an untruthful way, to the benefit of any particular group.

As for the OP premise, I totally agree, though to some degree, freedom and understanding "in one's own mind", in many situations, may be the best course of action in order to preserve Truth until such time as it can be properly utilized.

Can I vote for all of the above? I think that to believe otherwise is simple naivety.

Actually, I just was looking at another thread, one that to my mind was nicely laid out and sourced, one that would take at least five minutes to read through and consider, more if one followed the numerous links provided. But within three minutes, there were three poo-poo replies from some of the regulars lampooning the whole concept of the thread.

So how is this? People with agendas as you describe above, or just rude morons.

What else is new.

The only way you could keep up with these sites would be to run a text analysis on it.... and then put a lot of manpower into sorting out the relevant from the irrelevant. We have had (in the past) at least one incident where someone who ended up on the national news for several days was a member of this board. I'm sure the Feds did a scrape for his threads and for his threads on many other boards (heck, everyone did) - and his blogs and so forth.

But it's not worth it to monitor these places. This isn't where attacks are planned or organized and our faithful moderators do exercise some content control (unlike Facebook, you can't post pictures of yourself with guns announcing that you're gonna go out and shoot up the neighborhood and blow away your neighbors' dog.)

Facebook would be a more logical target to monitor, frankly.

But it is a way to influence and control the general population, by steering and conditioning certain beliefs.
After all, criminals or terrorists will be doing their thing anyways, it's the people who have to be assured and put back to sleep.
In the end, it's all a matter of crowd control in my opinion.

The number of people who visit boards like these is probably no more than 300,000 (by this, I mean every conspiracy board out there, all totaled) and there's actually some overlap of people who visit several boards. That's not enough people to control the general population. So if they're trying to "get a feel for things" by reading these boards or "sending in disinfo agents" for these boards... they'd do better putting up a story on your local news site.

Or MSNBC or Fox News or any of the big media news sites.

What I meant is, control/steer the minds of those who become aware and try to leave the flock.
Most of the population still believe in the traditional media, their government, etc and carry on with their daily lives.
They are already "under control".
I myself am very sceptical to most alternative media as well btw.
There's simply too much crap out there in my opinion.
