Seattle’s ‘man in the tree’ finally comes down

After police promised they wouldn`t charge him with a crime, the man in the tree had had enough. He climbed down and was wheeled away on a gurney.

While no word on why he was up there(besides 'personal crisis') it's good to hear he finally climbed down after 25 hours, no longer threatening anyone and is getting the help he needs.

I wonder what lead him to this place in his head, and wether he had attempted to get help previously?

Of course, I would expect it to be somewhat under reported if the man had a pre-existing relationship with mental healthcare providers in his locality. Can't be highlighting the absence of adequate facilities and funding in that area, because it might have bearing on other issues at some point!

I was just looking at a Seattle news site and it was reporting people on the ground were chanting Man in a tree, as he came down.
