Conspiracy by definition is rarely if ever the "most obvious answer".

That would be Occam's Razor.

really ?

so has it really nt occured to you that whoever now owns the publishing rights to mr Mcgowan's books has a vested interest in creating a climate where-in - the only way to read what he wrote is " buy the book " ?

Yes of course it has occurred to me but how does he expect to sell books if he has no material online to generate new readers?

Look at David Icke, he sells tonnes of books but he makes sure that he has enough of his material on-line to draw in new readers from google searches on his material.

I could imagine them taking away some of the work but to not leave some of it out does not seem like a great business model to me?

This is a topic near to my heart and I have watched as it has progressed.
Dave was an outstanding researcher and he had 15+ years of his work posted on his site and it is obvious that his readers
felt very close to him. His daughter, Allison, has replaced his site with a shiny new one that has almost no content and she
is asking for donations to help publish his work in book form.
The problem is that now it will be hard for any one who is not familiar with his writing to ever be exposed to it.
She seems to need better business advisors and I will leave it at that.
It was an honor for me to correspond with Dave and now with his brother Craig. With a lot of searching, and cues from Craig, I've been able to find and save some of Dave's work.
I am no thief. I bought "Programmed to Kill" years ago and "Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon" just prior to his passing.
At Craig's request I also sent a small donation, as did others, to try and help with med bills so my conscience is clear as I
scour the web looking for any McGowan jewels to put in my file.
I encourage any one who is not familiar with his work to read anything they can find, by him, and you will be hooked and wanting more.

I have spoken to friend of mine who also admired his work in the hope he has some hard copies of his material from the now defunct website, hopefully he has something. If so would you be interested in an exchange? I do not see how this can be wrong as it was in the public domain for years.

I have an email address for his daughter and will email her and see if she is willing to send me the stuff I was half way through in return for a donation.

As I said above it might be the crackpot in me but it just seems odd to pull ALL of his work from the web whilst claiming to be trying to preserve it?

I don't know if this will get past the censors but I feel compelled to share a link. I wish I could share Dave's e-mail fight with the evil known as Michael Aquino but Aquino reads ats and that would probably not go as I would like.

Yep, that works thank you.

I never got that far as I assumed I had all the time in the world.

What is your opinion on those that say his illness may not have been entirely natural in it's origin?

Regarding his illness; I really don't know but his brother once said that he thought it was murder. This was just after Dave's passing and he was upset, to say the least. McGowan did smoke a lot and maybe ignored his condition for as long as he could. I think it was the author William Ramsey (a very personable and helpful man) who said that the only other case he could recall where cancer took some one so quickly and unexpectedly was Jack Ruby.

It is I think standard practice when a controversial investigator or conspiracy writer dies to cry foul play, that TPTB or alphabet agencies murdered them in some cunning manner to silence them and when I heard of his illness and shortly afterwards his death the thought did cross my mind.

One of the many things I liked about him was the amount of his works that were available free on-line and although he did release books it always seemed like money was not the reason for him writing as is the case with other so called truth seekers.

A lot of people even here will not be aware of him as he did not seem to chase fame and fortune with his wild claims and his work was available for a long time.

I do not wish to appear to be speaking in disrespect about his family in any way but as I said earlier it just seems strange that after all these years within a few months of his passing everything is now gone from the public domain with the promise that it will be re released in the future.
