Our House, In The Middle of Our Street...

For anybody living in Australia that enjoys the Chemist Warehouse advert for its catchy tune, I only recently discovered it is a sample from a song by English band Madness. I'm sure some of our older members already knew, but for younger members who didn't, check out some of their music, it's not bad.

I know the song well... not that I was even born when it was released, I just used to love that show 'The Young Ones' when I was a kid.

They would regularly have a band randomly play in the middle of the show...

I used to play this song when I djed at weddings, always goes down well.

Madness are a really cool band. When they realised much of their fan base were kids, they started doing matinee concerts so concert goers could get home at a reasonable hour and be up in time for school the next day!

Hi DG....love that song. Another band that's a "one hit wonder".

They kinda remind me of Boomtown Rats ("I don't like Mondays")
