Eddie Aikau Surf Competition 2016 is a Go

The bay has called the day. For the first time since 2009 the Eddie is a go. Eddie Aikau was a legendary Hawaiian Surfer whom was lost at sea when he paddled back to shore in search of help when the Hokule'a capsized. In honor of Eddie the Eddie Aikau surfing competition occurs when surfing conditions meet a certain criteria, it has only been held 8 times previously since 1985. The live feed is as follows.

They (HI) are having massive surf on the North Shore! I think I saw up to 50 foot waves rolling in.

Anybody broadcasting? Just wondering. Probably see something on sport center but wouldn't mind watching the event itself.

Now, in the 3rd heat of the 1st round the waves are getting bigger and cleaner than in the 1st or 2nd heat.

Not so clean when I took a peak, I'll watch some more. I just got out of the water here in MA, wasn't too bad despite the high winds.
