Forgive my possible misinterpretation but, are you saying that not only can people not make decisions but that they actually have no decisions to make?

If you lived in Caracas, would you stay there if you were allowed to escape? Are there inward facing containment fences surrounding your Island?

Have you not considered leaving a place where no employment is possible?

By all means, rise up and take over if you can't escape but, I recommend voting with your feet. A plane ticket is less than a month's rent.

Socialism is an economic theory that can be implemented in specific areas that do not have to affect the entire government infrastructure. If it doesn't work, you use the will of the people to change it.

Face it, you just want socialism.

Nothing to be ashamed of.

I have nothing to be ashamed of. I am a socialist and, of course, I want socialism. But I only want to implement it in certain specific areas. We can maintain individual rights and protect capitalist practices while using a socialist model for basic needs of the people.

Full-blown socialism is just Communism and that is not what I want.
