I originally saw this news in my country, but they provide english article as source.

Scientists in Russia train rats to detect drugs and explosives, they have implants in their brains, to send the data in the centrals and these findings will be potentially raid targets.

Most recently we saw news for robots taking over ISIS areas, now RATS and who knows whats next! The war havent even started yet.

ps: These RATS will most possibly be hamsters and not RATS and I feel a bit sad for these little cute animals.

For a moment I thought Putin was conspiring with Trump

As for the OP, I'm not sure this idea is going to stop many attacks.

This sounds a bit far-fetched. I'd bet Putin unleashes Spetsnaz GRU on ISIS, if he hasn't already, and that will cause more grief to them than trained hamsters.

Whatever steps Putin takes to deal and rid the world of ISIS is absolutely fine with me.

I am still getting over the sheer hypocrisy of tossing some very young man off a building with his hands tied behind his back - why, because he was caught having sex with some ISIS commander who - you guessed it, didn't get tossed off the building also. How exactly does that work for Sharia?

Leaked FSB image of one of the commando rats in training.

They won't know what hit them.

The US had a plan to use bats in WW2, and they actually worked, but on the wrong people

a few of the loaded incendiary bats were accidentally released, whereupon a hangar and general's car were burned

A possible scenario:
1. The rats find a stash of explosive material.
2. This data is sent to an AWACS stationed above the battle zone.
3. The AWACS dispatches a tactical bot to knock on the door.
4. This draws the fire of the residents of the apartment. (indicating unfriendly combatants)
5. The AWACS detects this aggressive action.
6. The AWACS dispatches one of their Russian Platform-M bots.
7. The Platform-M reduces the apartment to a smoldering heap.
8. One or more enemy combatants now unable to cause any more trouble.

Just make sure that friendlies know not to fire on the tactical bots.

If ISIS continues to antagonize the world, it will get the Armageddon it is looking for.

US using suicide animals like how ISIS use people for suicide bombing.

Putin is using them to sniff stuff out.
Completely different.
