Your BS is BS.
This
wasn't happening here.

Kids didn't end up like this

And cities didn't have these guys

So no, it didn't slide into 3rd world status.

Obama’s on a roll. Crying in public now this.

Even though I wonder why Obama didn’t bring a Kleenex or tissue with him. That day, he knew he was going to get that way.

Denzel probably gave him tips on how to bring forth tears.

If he starts crying well know it’s phony if he doesn’t have a handkerchief.

WOW. You hit almost every theatrical Anti-2nd one liner.

You got the "small penis" thing, "look at this baby", "mental illness".

You forgot some basic required terms though.
You didn't use hillbilly, redneck, gun nutter (one of my personal favorites) or irresponsible.

You also didn't mention anything about "civilized society" or it being 2016.

Where did I use the word "penis" or "look at this"? I said bordering on mental illness, because to be quite frank the insanity has reached such levels to warrant using that term.

Generally, insanity is linked to mental illness. The behavior I am witnessing by SOME pro-gun people has gone beyond staunch support into hysterics and vast paranoia. It has gotten so bad that it is nearly impossible to even have a constructive, level-headed, intelligent conversation on the topic. That, to me is insane.

I’m afraid mystic is right. The people have gone over into obsession and all kinds of dissociation.

Such as: I hate Obama and Obama doesn’t like guns so I’m going to be overwrought for guns just to hurt Obama

Mental illness often is the absence of logic.

This country also is filled with people very prone to brainwashing or conditioning. Now it has created a boomerang affect.

The NRA use to be for universal background checks until they brainwashed their own members so much that the members made them reject what’s logical: universal background checks as they were ready to support such legislation.

They had so rabble roused their own membership that the membership turned on them and demanded they don’t support that anymore.

Overall Obama’s wasting his time.

He has to wait for the people to be deconditoned

Foe even the slaughter of children can't decondiiton these people.

You do realize that there is more to a 3rd world country than being geographically located in Africa-- right?

We had hungry people in soup lines with their hands out (first pic) -- dying kids from starvation, the dust bowl...

We had prohibition going on with mobsters and higher levels of crime (second and third picture). In fact, the cops were hopelessly out gunned by the illegal bootleggers and mobsters with automatic machine guns during that time.

Well, at least we got NASCAR out of prohibition.

You know what caused all that crime during Prohibition (aside from the economic hardships of the Great Depression)?

An ill-fated attempt to completely outlaw something deeply entrenched in American culture.

Want to take a guess at what would happen if you tried to completely outlaw something as deeply entrenched in American culture as firearms are? So much so that they are even enshrined in the Constitution where alcohol wasn't?

I shall cry a sad sad tear that you view people, wishing to exercise their 2nd as mentally ill.

And your statements weren't literally you stating "penis", but insinuated it. With the "compensating" for something, we all know what your getting at.

Don't really understand where you and some others have this idea that the 2nd is up for debate.
It is basically like trying to argue about gravity. Gravity is real, it is absolute here on earth and that is that.

The 2nd is very very clear and simple.

What you and other Anti-2nd people is not a discussion, but for people to change to your viewpoint for *insert reason*, without abiding by the set forth steps in changing it.

Hey, can you please have the Moms need Action to open up their yaps some more about guns??
I like seeing fellow citizens further exercise their rights, and it seems to make you and other Anti-2nd people uncomfortable. I enjoy that.

Hungry does not equate to 3rd world levels. Try again?
AND....what in the hell does the Dust Bowl have to do with the 2nd?

Oh I love this. You use prohibition as your example.
You used a Govt induced crisis as your cornerstone for gun control?
Prohibition brought full force those bootleggers, mobsters and such into the world.
Oh, how about the war on drugs??? You know, outlaw certain drugs, which creates criminal enterprise that flourishes in it, only to stand around in absent minded disbelief as to how it all happened.

Well, at least we got NASCAR out of prohibition.

And at least we have record sales of firearms and record amounts of US citizens exercising their rights because of the infringement of rights.

At least Prohibition happened the legal and lawful way. And not by Govt circumventing the Constitution.

That's why some people are impossible to have a rational intelligent debate with on this subject. They hear 'commonsense gun regulations' and in there mind that equates to the police going door to door collecting everyone's guns... No ones looking to outright ban guns, its extremely paranoid to claim any different.

Besides, the fact is the US only has like a 30% household gun ownership rate, that means around 70% of households have no desire or use to own a gun. Then the majority of the 30% of households would probably only own guns because they can or because they go hunting once in a blue moon. Which leaves a tiny minority of households who are deeply opposed to any efficient regulations to help keep guns out of the wrong hands.

So in reality, its just the loud minority who are shouting all those childish illogical arguments, well refusing to even listen to reason... like "we need more guns" or "murders already illegal". By that logic why would the police even bother using tax payers money for more efficient technology to solve murders, since its already illegal, right?

First, where do you pull your BS stats from...

Secondly, what law would have stopped any of the recent shootings? You know, your coveted "common sense" crap you peddle?

What stats, you mean the household gun ownership rate?

gunpolicy.org

The percentage of households with one or more guns.
2014- 31%

Yet at the same time there's estimated to be 101.05 firearms per 100 people. Which just goes to show that there is a small amount of fanatics in the US who own a whole lot of guns.

what law would have stopped any of the recent shootings? You know, your coveted "common sense" crap you peddle?

I suppose you could research gun regulations in other countries and answer your own question. But how would having no regulations whatsoever (which is what your essentially advocating) have stopped any of those shootings?

How a feeling being powerless has anything to do with a penis is beyond me. I'm sure many women feel powerless over their lives, and gain quite a bit of confidence after going to the gun range.

You know, I just got done talking to a guy who sells guns for a living. Right now. In person, off line. A real human being who I know personally in my real life. He was sad I missed the sale on the AR-15's during Christmas.

He jokingly said he has to many guns for his gun safe and is going later to buy a bigger one. He's not really that concerned -- he said nothing Obama is saying hasn't been said before or isn't something that either isn't being done already at some level anyway.

A lifelong NRA member, gun owner, gun SELLER and he's not going off the rails on a crazy train like Ozzy. That tells me a lot, that tells me that a bunch of people who have no reason to be so up in arms are freaking out over Obama.

Obama, the greatest troll in history...look at the insanity he's caused among such a large swath of our population. The fact that his words have illicited such an emotional reaction from some people speaks volumes to the maturity and sensibility of some Americans.
