Maria Alekhina, aka Masha of Pussy Riot, isn't all too fond of Putin and with good reason. They've been targeted for their anti-Putin sentiments by government officials for years. They were charged with "hooliganism motivated by religious hatred" after staging an anti performance in Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Savior in 2012 as many of you will recall.

Donald Trump's candidacy for president of the United States may be a joke to some, but no one will be laughing if he is actually elected.
Just ask Maria Alekhina, aka Masha of Pussy Riot.

When informed that her country's president, Vladimir Putin, had called Trump "brilliant," she told The Huffington Post, "When Putin came to his first term or second term, nobody [in Russia] actually thought that this is serious. Everybody was joking about it. And nobody could imagine that after five, six years, we would have a war in Ukraine, annexation of Crimea, and these problems in Syria," in which Russia has become involved.

www.huffingtonpost.com.au...

Putin has many supporters who tend to be politically conservative within and outside of Russia. Many praise Putin for his "strong" leadership but beyond that there's nothing else. Since entering into power Putin has silenced or jailed many of his political opponents, pushed through an anti-gay law that criminalizes being gay in public. He has cracked down on many protests and continues to stamp down on freedom of speech in his country. Lastly, Russia's economy is in the tank at the moment no thanks to his regime... while Putin hides his own personal fortune in the $billions that he had built up during his time in office.

It baffles me how many on here for years have continued to whine about Obama stepping on freedoms, or how terrible Hillary Clinton is, yet continue to throw their support behind Trump and Putin despite their openly fascist positions. It's becoming very apparent that many don't actually support true freedom and prosperity for all.. only for some. One would have thought we learned from the past? .

And I am sitting here laughing at those that think Trump has a shot at becoming Potus.

There's not a snow ball chance in hell he can carry minority voters(African Americans,Hispanics,Jews,Muslim's).

I am sorry people.

Hell would literally have to freeze over for a Trump presidency.

The lack of a super massive genocide???

I know that seems to be a tiny detail to most who like to compare anyone to Hitler, but...

No I'm not.

Our next president will be CLinton. As much as I can't stand her.

I am not underestimating the intelligence of the mob.

Yeah that was a time when i gave the mob too much credit.

It has since been adjusted.

Agreed and I remember being just astonished at the second time myself. The state of American politics will likely never shock me again after that. I fear that shattered my "shocked face" forever.

Underestimating anything in this election may be a huge mistake.

Will you remain so certain when Trump buys Cruz as a running mate?

It comes down to who has more.

Right now the Blue side has more than the Red side.

And nothing unites the blue side like a nice 'fascist bigot'.

I'd love to be wrong. I really would.

Cruz would be the certain kiss of death.

Yeah I am certain.

Yeah I am certain.

Everything Trump has done so far was supposed to have been "it" for him, yet he polls higher and higher every time. Something tells me having Cruz as a running mate would produce similar results.

I've almost reached a state of apathy to be honest with you. I will wake up the day after the election not surprised either way... Of that I can promise you.

We seem to be made up of more people who obviously never learn anything. The only downfall to that, is that me and mine have to fall right along beside their stupid decisions/choices.

At this point, we almost certainly deserve everything we get because we are obviously (as a majority unfortunately) not smart enough to learn from our mistakes.

I don't have a dog in this race. I can't get behind none of them.

I'm like THIS is the best they can do?

They might was well just ALL pack up, and go home.

It will all get interesting when Hillary picks a Keith Ellison as her running mate...if you do not know who he is, look him up...and don't tell me junior senators can't win.

Trump, right now every other GOP candidate is jockeying to be next to him except Bush and the whack job from Ohio...

It is all a game folks...
