and I joined this website because I am somewhat afraid. I recently discovered that my phone is being tapped and so is my step-dad's, we're thinking it's due to a lawsuit he was involved in that revolved around a new form of technology. I can't say more than that, I can't give locations and I can't talk to anyone about the details I've picked up while playing dumb at dinner parties. All I can say is that I'm not sure what to do at this point.
People have been following me on public transportation, just yesterday a man in a yellow ski jacket flicked his hand into the aisle right as I was about to walk past and then smiled up at me. As he got off he turned around, made eye contact, and nodded at me. I figured it was just a drunk fool, but after my ride picked me up from my stop (I live fairly far from the bus stop) we were turning past a male who stopped what he was doing, looked up directly at me, and lifted a clutched fist, similar to the black power symbol. All of this was after I figured my phone was being tapped (I was hearing clicks, echoes, my battery life is completely gone, and my screen continuously glitches out).
I have always been known to be the "weird kid" or just plain ole obscure due to my ability to pick up on lies, corruption, etc. No one else seems to notice the things I do while in public.
Any advice would help, thanks.

I'm not sure it helps but, IF someone was intent on following you, a YELLOW ski jacket would probably NOT be 'standard issue'.

hello. if i suspected someone was following/watching me i would have to immediately buttonhole them - 'do i know you?' type thing, check their response.

Exactly- don't beat around the bush or overthink things.

The phone issues could be anything - it may not be tapped, but these people might be messing with you. I would say don't lose too much sleep over it until you can verify that you are being "watched" for certain

Or it could be folks that happen to see the things you mention seeing....giving you the nod.

It happens. Birds of a feather flock together, you just never know.

Cheers!

Yeah, your correct, not only are your phones tapped, lol, soooo 90's tech, but your being watched, and spoon feed paranoia. Mix lawsuit and Tech info together, and that's becomes a no brainier. Have fun!

I would invest heavily in a cloak system.

That sounds like a bad battery, alright. Sometimes they develop a 'set' and won't deep charge anymore, even though you charge them and it reads full. it should be replaced.

How flattering, sounds like he was flirting with you.

List some other specific stuff you think is 'them'.

Hi Golddigger. Sorry about your problems.
I recommend buying a throw away phone with cash and getting some mace for creepy dudes out in public. Being aware at all times is good, just don't let it get the best of you. Maybe some Martial art classes?

Welcome and enjoy your stay here!

The Mother Ship will pick you up and you wont have to worry any more.
I promise.

hey golddigger5000, welcome to ATS. It's the best place for discussions of that kind. You'd better kill your fb account soon.

Kind regards, have fun!!!

What a "welcome" you received from ATS!!
I have a feeling you won't be back after some of the replies posted but just in case....

I'll go with what you wrote for the benefit of the doubt. Btw, there's nothing weird about being intuitive or having honed senses if that's the case. Plenty of people do.

Do you believe your and your step-dad's lives are in danger or that this is just subtle, non-provable, psychological harassment because of the reason you gave? If I was you, to start, I would document everything out of the ordinary with times, places and dates so you have a record. Did you replace your phone battery?
