Perhaps when the mosque re-applied for the permit, the county ran a study and the results were adverse to the mosque. Or perhaps they were dragging their feet on the study. Environmental impact studies for large projects can sometimes take YEARS.

After reading several of his health inspection reports it is apparent that his focus was on water quality.

Who knows what he had access to?

Someone in that position will not have access to schematics and such. He is not an engineer. There is no need for him to have access to such information.

He could get into the city planning files anytime he wanted.
If he wanted power plant plans, why couldn't he get them?
I'm sure he works with the city planning dept. on a regular basis.

Russian wife ... Chechen origin for him?

Could be, the Tsarnaev brothers were pretty fair-skinned.

New video from inside the building after the attack shows an officer escorting some women safely out assuring them that he will "take a bullet for them that's for damn sure".

I am sure others took video that we will see in the coming days.

They are awaiting another press conference that seems to have been coming shortly for hours now as well.

Maybe not, but if your job is to ensure water quality, you might have access to the water supply.

Was it his job to ensure water quality, or was it his job to produce reports based on information provided to him?

His job was as a water quality inspector . Someone posted a report with his name as the inspector of a public pool in SB.

He failed them btw.

If these idiots killed all these people because they were pissed about not getting to build their silly mosque, that tells you something about the mentality of the easily radicalized. They have no respect for the sanctity of life and live in some kind of whacko world of religious fanaticism. How many of these powder kegs are living in our communities?

We still don't know, and has it been proven yet that Farooq (sp) has conclusively been linked to all this?

Got this from Daily Beast:
Farook, who also went by his middle name, Raheel, was a business taxes representative for the California State Board of Equalization, according to his LinkedIn profile. He is a 2003 graduate La Sierra High School, and most recently studied finance at California State University Fullerton until 2013.

Possible he changed positions since that report?

I don't know though. Failing to do a study is a lot different than conducting a study that fails the mosque outright.

It was the cause cited by the court for the revocation of the permit:

LInk to details of lawsuit

They had already waited for YEARS! The original permit was issued in 2011 but the lawsuit delayed construction for FOUR YEARS. Then they LOST and the permit was revoked - because of this Environmental Health Department. No doubt the mosque would now have to re-apply for a permit. I have heard that getting an environmental impact study is like pulling teeth. They can take a long time. There was undoubtedly pressure to fast-track it or even just to fudge it so it would pass immediately, and that was not happening.

I wonder if THAT was the subject at the meeting. BTW according to some news reports it was not a Christmas party, it was a meeting. That's why it was in a conference room.

I found it on the Zero Hedge article.

Can't tell if the photo's been messed with or the lighting is bad. But to me, the skin color is pretty much identical to the "white" cop's. I don't see enough blood to cause someone of dark skin to become that pale.

But, as I mentioned above ... the Tsarnaev brothers from the Boston Marathon bombing were both very fair-skinned, being of Eastern European descent.

Yes, I have. Personally.

There isn't enough blood on the ground to cause that from looking at the photograph. I know everyone wants them to be foreign, Middle Eastern Muslims...but we should brace for any possibility.

I still find it odd they aren't releasing any information if they've been shot. Usually they're very quick about attributing an attack to Islamic terrorism.

Not necessarily on the ground, but she was shot and bled out in the SUV.

Things like blueprints for power plants aren't just left in a filing cabinet that any employee can just walk up to and get. Just like how blueprints and diagrams for jails and prisons aren't.

I know people who have to have blueprints of jails around for their job -- they are always locked up when not being actively used, with restrictions placed on who has the keys. It would make sense the same is done at the city level for infrastructure components that are "mission critical" like power plants.

Someone that is paid to compile and report on petty water violations, such as the chemical condition of swimming pools, is not going to have access to blueprints/schematics for the water supply system of a major American city.

He is not an engineer and would not receive clearance to look at such things.

28 year old Qatar citizen Ardeogan just released as second suspect's name. So apparently not a hoax.
