I see a lot of homeless Vets where I live. The problem I am told is the need is greater than the resources.

The mental illness issues are more often than not a fairly direct result of becoming homeless.

Those who cause people to become homeless are the ones who need to be analyzed and have their mental health looked into more closely.

Those who are the most mentally ill do not believe themselves to be as such.

Narcissists cannot admit there is anything wrong with them as they consider themselves to be perfect.

Narcissists are everywhere and are almost always those who would be considered to be successful people by societal norms.

I have acknowledged there was some type of problem here from a fairly young age, but the problem is one of those things that is considered to be a necessity for some reason or other by the majority of people who just don't seem to know any better.

Malignant self love allows many people to commit some pretty heinous acts without their consciences kicking in and their feeling like maybe they might actually be doing something wrong.

There are examples of malignant self love on every TV channel, constantly, every day.

People live what they learn and they are educated by their media spewing devices.

One of the first things they are led to believe is that it is an honorable thing to commit to the service of one's country, which is so completely wrong that it is difficult to comprehend until one does it.

All of this is fake and the only reason it remains is because people have faith in the lie while the religious institutions spew some nonsense to keep people from looking in the right direction to realize where to concentrate their energy, as religious leaders tend to be narcissists themselves and enjoy living off of the ignorant and weak as any narcissist would.

John Lennon was correct and that is why he was killed.

A simple truth. It is a damaging blow to the psyche to have to come to terms with the belief that you have no place to call home. No place where you are wanted, and nobody cares about you. It doesn't matter if the dialog played out in their mind is absolutely true of not. All it takes is for the person to believe it is true.

The media is Life Primer 101. And this is what we do:

Toddler/Elementary school age. 61 percent of children 8-17 have televisions in their rooms. 35 percent have video games. 14 percent have a DVD player. 4 million will have their own cell phones. They have never known a world without computers and cell phones. Have Eco-fatigue: they are actually tired of hearing about the environment and the many ways we have to save it.

The world is teaching our children to abandon humanity and we are facilitating the process.

It is the great disconnect. Disconnect from others, disconnect from family, disconnect from self, and disconnect from the planet. I guess it is part of the agenda for making a perfect world. A world devoid of humanity.

As the OP states, there is a better way. The problem is we are all waiting from the Mana to fall from the sky, Scotty to beam us up, or a knight in shinning armor to arrive on his/her great stead. We have to start with believing in ourselves, and then we have to be the change.

There are five empty foreclosed homes for each homeless person in the U.S. Empty houses while people are homeless. That doesn't make sense, does it?
