TPTB will allow the technology as soon as they buy up the majority of the rights to the technology and can take over that and / or control that market. Oil will still be required for the production of the vehicle whether or not the vehicle is fueled by lime jello, roadkill or salt water.

Same as state and local governments stalled on legalizing marijuana until they had a tax collection scheme and agency in place to skim the profit off of the top of that thing.

It'll be a pain in the ass when those pricks lay claim to the ocean as their property like everything else in the world.

Most people in the world are not particularly bright and will eventually accept it though.....
