Who do you think would be the right person for Alien disclosure?

I was thinking the pope. How exactly would you explain to the public that ET exist and have contacted mankind? How do you keep people from freaking out? How do you think the general public would respond to disclosure? How would the explain the cover ups and the constant lying and deflection? 80 years of cover ups. Should some officials go to prison for knowingly lying/covering up about alien contact with mankind?

How would this change organized religion if at all?

Nobody is going to arrest Christopher Walken and it will be the most dramatic announcement in human history.

Do you mean who should explain ETs to the world, or who should represent Earth to the ETs?

In both cases, I'd go with either Roddy Piper or Bruce Campbell.

I think the Pope would probably be one of the best candidates because of his perceived neutrality among all nations.

I also think he'd be an excellent choice because I believe disclosure will be the beginning of the end to "organized religion" and it's going to take the most recognized spiritual leader on the planet to guide the faithful into accepting this revelation and adopting a new way of thinking.

Personally, I think disclosure and the end of organized religion is the next big step forward for mankind.

It's the kind of thing that can dissolve our perceived differences and unite us as a planetary species.

The world is so far from disclosure it's ridiculous. We still think nationally, when we need to be thinking globally. We are not worthy of disclosure, as we have ravaged the earth with year after year of war. We don't have to worry about disclosure because it's never going to happen anytime soon. Humans need a shift in paradigm of thinking and mental and behavioral evolution.

Disclosure can come whenever, I doubt the world would self destruct. People have an understanding of life forms and they wouldn't be all up close and personal. People would manage disclosure. It would be like another story of Jesus or unicorns really.

I nominate Morgan Freeman or Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Or...
