Ummm...have you ever wondered...?


Are there…?


I wonder if it rains there…on the other side of life
Do clouds gather and release their burden in a cleansing torrent
Are there clouds
Is snow only white…could it fall in patterns of argyle
Would it fall or would it rise

Is the rain there a deluge of the tears shed here
If teardrops fall and collect in gutter and cistern
brook and well
who drinks them there

Are there animals and insects
Does the antelope slay the lion and feast upon the carcass of the king
Do flowers fly and trees walk down to the shore to bathe in sweet waters
Do rocks love…there…in a great stony romance and entwine
birthing grains of sand who grow to one day be lust filled mountains

Is there sadness which erupts from the ground in great sprays of geyser
Does happiness twinkle there in the night sky
out of reach…tantalizing…like here
Do skunks fountain heady fragrance of frankincense
Are they the pets of choice
Are we the pets there

I wonder
