Hello, I seem to have a recurring issue that when I realize a typo in a document on my computer or want to create a list form, so from this:

1941 to 1. 1941 it instead becomes 1. 41 or 1. Each letter, number, symbol and space deletes a letter, number, symbol or space in front of it. Any fixes? Sometimes it works properly, but it can be very annoying.

I'm using Word Pad.

I think it's a keyboard thing. Your edit is overwriting instead of inserting the letters. Did you try the "insert" key on the right of your keyboard? Just hit it once (it toggles between insert and overwrite) and see if that works.

Thank you very much. In fact that was the issue, hmm most have accidentally pressed that at some time.

I don't see a reason I'd be near that button even though! Oh well. It's fixed for generations (of documents) to come.
