Syrian President Bashar al-Assad Leaves Country for the First Time Since 2011

In a new development to a fast-paced situation in Syria, the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has left the country and met Russian President Vladimir Putin. This is the first time the Syrian President has left the country in an official visit since the start of the war in 2011.

A blogger claims to have found out the exact plane and route. The visit was only acknowledged after al-Assad returned to Damascus.

I wonder if Putin was telling Assad when he will step down from power and who will be replacing him.
