ISIS militants sliced off the fingertips of 12-year-old boy in a bid to convert a group of Syrian Christians to Islam - but when they refused the terrorists executed all 12 people. The unnamed boy's fingertips were hacked off because he was the son of a Syrian Christian ministry team leader who, along with the rest of the group, refused to renounce his faith. The Gospel Herald reports one woman shouted out 'Jesus' moments before she and others were beheaded by the terror group.

Christian Aid Mission, a humanitarian group which assists Christian workers in their native countries, reports that the horrific murders took place on August 28 in an unnamed village outside Aleppo, in Syria. Relatives of those killed said on August 7 ISIS militants captured the Christian workers in their village . The Mission reports on August 28 the militants asked the group if they had renounced Islam for Christianity, and when the Christians confirmed that they had, the rebels asked if they wanted to return to Islam.

This article is heart breaking news concerning Christians in the Middle East. They were butchered because they would not accept the Islam faith.

Before you answer my question, this would also apply to all faiths including agnostic and atheist ....... either accept the Islamic faith or be murdered.

Would you renounce your faith or face death?

What a horrible situation over there. I just do not understand how someone believing something different than me could ever be a justification for murder.

And Jesus was nowhere to be found to save them. Funny how that works isn't it?

Anyways, why do Christians have to be singled out when it comes to those whom ISIS kills? Their deaths are no more or less tragic than the non-Christians who die at their hands. It's a damn tragedy what's going on over there. I commend Putin for actually doing something about it, the U.S. is either a big ol' pansy or they have a stake in ISIS surviving. My bet is on the latter.

I just hope Russia is allowed to keep attacking them. Apparently they're the only hope of ending ISIS.

I'd ask for a bacon cheeseburger.

I have no problem with the religious killing each other off.

I personally wouldn't renounce my faith, but I believe it would be forgivable if one did. I don't believe God will disown you for fear.

Russia, I hope your reports are right that you can end this mess and start helping these nations get leaders in place. They don't trust America and I don't blame them.

ISIS is what happens when you weaponize the clinically insane.

I second that notion, good on Putin and the Iranians for #ing doing something about all this nonsense.

Even happier that Iran is a primarily muslim nation going in to face off man to man.

The Australian governments plans to accept persecuted minorities first just got another thumbs up in my opinion . Sure isis really does not seem to care who they kill but if you got a country full of birds it doesn't make sense to bring in cats . Yay me , the worse analogy ever .

I'd rather face death than live under ISIS' theocracy in constant fear and paranoia.

Mathew 24:9
"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.

Jesus never said he would save Christians from prosecution, he said they would be prosecuted until he returns.

Every Christian is aware of this. They teach this one in church.

I understand what Jesus said, but Christians aren't the only ones who get persecuted for their beliefs. Everyone gets persecuted at some point in their lives, people from all different faiths are killed for their faith. This idea that Christians are the only ones being persecuted for their faith is ignorant and short-sighted.

Rome persecuted and killed people because they DIDN'T believe in Jesus. He never mentioned that though for some reason.

ISIS want and run a fascist state - always run by the pig-ignorant and vicious.

The bullies who get to the top in ISIS and all other strands where death is the only option they offer, need to be haven a taste of their own medicine because what is the particular trait amongst these types of people are that they are cowards - can dish the pain but not suffer it themselves

I saw a man calling for the desecraters of Palymyra to be captured and tried for war comes. Apart from the lot of them who should be facing these charges in any case, I do believe that when some dirt bag destroys our heritage from the past just for the sake of it, then they need a form of public humiliation before punishment and prison for a very long time.

Its not OK to do any of this and the destruction of a country's heritage just because some pumped up religion cant' stand up against it except destroy it is not an excuse. I hope each and every one who has served ISIS in any capacity gets a long prison sentence and doesn't come out until they are too old to be the pygmy of today's fascism they actually are.

Christianity has one distinct blessing in that it doesn't have a lot of petty and nasty laws and excuses for objectionable behaviour written into it by psychopaths and paedophiles, who have represented the other desert religions through the ages.

I don't think you know what the word hate means. I doubt anyone genuinely hates Christians because they are Christian on this board. Persecution complex.

Once all the religious have duked it out and the last few stand I'm happy to go in and face off with them.

Until then, as I said. I'm happy Iran has the stones to go after Isis on foot.

Very tragic for this loss of life.

Well at least you and others (since you use the word "WE" ), I guess you speak for others as well, are being upfront and honest about who you hate.

Hate is the first step towards murder.

Since you hate religious people maybe you should stay off ATS religious forum?

I have just as much a right to be here as you do. In fact, I had eggs and 12 grain toast for breakfast. I didn't thank any particular provider other than myself and my wife who worked to pay for the ingredients, my time for preparing it and my wife for cleaning up afterwards.

I have quite the distaste for the religious. I am honest and up front about it. I do not hate you, I do hate your religion.

I do disagree with your beliefs, but I will not tell you how to live your life.

I will openly, and proudly denounce religion, not people. So you sir, are my brother in flesh, I just disagree with your beliefs as you may mine.

Do you want to know what's truly beautiful. I live in a society where both of our life styles, and both of our beliefs are okay. We don't have to agree, and we can live together, work together. Perhaps even be friends.

I do not wish you harm, as much as i wish the disease i believe to be religion would go away.

In turn, I'm sure you wish the same. That the disease you believe plagues man kind is the lack of faith.

I do have faith though, it's just in something else. Human beings...

We will find a way, we always have.

I am loud, and I can be arrogant, but I do not truly hate... I merely disagree.
