And on this episode of the constitutionally challenged. I have never heard of anything more hypocritical, and asinine. Madeline Singas,Acting District Attorney of Nassau Country in New York, has universally declared constitutional rights null and void for her employees. I must have missed how disarming prosecuting attorneys counts as 'compassionate' and keeping the more vulnerable people 'safe'. Everywhere I have seen prosecutors aren't liked very much mostly because they put some really nasty people away, and who do have guns, and don't really care about the rule of law.

Madeline Singas, Acting District Attorney for Nassau County, New York, is a hypocrite. Worse, she is willing to gamble with the lives and safety of her staff and their families for her own perceived political benefit. While claiming “a commitment to justice, compassion, and integrity” and boasting about keeping “more vulnerable people safe,” she enforces a policy of mandatory disarmament amongst the attorneys who put their own safety on the line to administer justice in her jurisdiction. On Monday, Prof. Eugene Volokh broke the story that the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office bars prosecutors from having handguns, even at home.

What stinking constitution?

I don't get it people. I really, really, really don't. Singas took, and oath to defend, and uphold the Constitution of the United States of America.

It guess it works just some of the time.

Perhaps this is how it will happen since they have failed every other way.

It is the one last big thing on the agenda.

Sounds like the perfect time for a lawsuit.

She can not prevent these people from practicing their 2nd amendment rights. I would flaunt it legally in her face until she fired me and then sue her ass. F# her.

I am so sick of these smug idiots trying to legislate what is best for me.

Thanks for exposing that SO EPIC double standard.

Will the LEFT stand up for those attorneys constitutionally guaranteed rights ?

Yes, she is violating their rights. I'm sure most of them are on the same page as her. But if they aren't, they're probably rolling their eyes while saying yes ma'am, or at least have their fingers crossed behind their backs. Good luck for her penalizing anyone who doesn't follow her commands. She should be out of a job any minute now. I hope one of the DA's pushes her buttons.

She is a first generation Greek-American.

Guess she hasn't totally assimilated yet. This unconstitutional act will be and should be challenged. She needs to be taken down a notch and find out first hand how Americans feel about the 2A. Or, she needs to be ousted.

Pretty blatant and stupid?

Yet the anti 2nd crowd is winning by fiat by the questions on the Federal form to buy a gun. I have noticed many people in my area being arrested for falsifying information to purchase a gun, (which is a felony) and wondered how in the hell could someone be that stupid!

Read the article I linked below. Being it is a Federal Form, I am sure this is happening everywhere.

Here's how the feds have made it harder for you to lawfully buy a gun

But we don't want to take your guns?????

From your OP article:

The irony of denying those who are supposed to serve the ends of justice of their most basic rights needs no further elaboration. It also goes without saying that if she tried to impose similar restraints with regard to other basic rights – for example, denying employment based on perceived “comfort” issues with a person’s religion or lack of religion – she would be facing civil rights litigation herself.

The only plausible explanation is that the policy serves as a litmus test to allow Ringas [sp] to purge her office of social or political views that she finds objectionable and to advance her own perceived political standing. One can only imagine, however, the negative fallout if one of her employees were to suffer victimization that could have been prevented with the proper tools of self-defense.

This is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

It is.

ATF 4473.

www.atf.gov...

11 b,c people need to think carefully about it.

Because that covers so many things.

It's not about what a person was charged with, and how it ended, but what a person COULD have been.

Which is utter nonsense.

That's weird! Last I herd, Kim Davis was identifying herself as Republican.

Makes sense! I mean I can buy a gun illegally much easier than I could legally and seeing so many people being arrested for falsifying information, just didn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

No wonder the anti 2nd movement has been so quiet?

Oh is the DA saying it is her religious right to stop people from having guns?

This is wrong, I agree.

And since I am crowned official spokesmen of the left by Neo we are all good.

Pretty much as the anti gun crowd is just as devout as those they decry.

Gonna stand up for those attorneys constitutional rights ?

Doesn't make it true though.
Kim Davis was using religion, actual defined religion not some made up one by you.

Did you read where I said I think it is wrong?

I think they absolutely should be able to apply for ownership unless they are barred for some other reason then their job.

The surface is irrelevant.

Unconstitutional is Unconstitutional any way you look at it.

And a Democrat is a Democrat is a Democrat.

Yeah well the anti gun crowd does tend to deify the state, and glad fully accepts the states 'morality'.

So scant difference.
