But certain things can be said,
-> We don't trust American political establishment as we understand America considers India as a business place rather than friend. It is an amusing
relationship.Average Indian likes American values yet can't digest America-Pakistan relationship. We like to think we like liberal values and thus
support democrats yet we get disappointed more by democrats and than republicans.
-> Large conservative Muslim population in India wouldn't digest India - America/West centric relationship too easily. That is a concern for any party
who happens to be in power.
-> With Russia getting more conservative and befuddling, the Indo-Russian policy is in need of a severe change. But nobody knows what to do in light of
recent Russian activities.
-> We are not getting into war with Pakistan. We would like to avoid it,at any cost. Not because of Pakistani arms but due to the fact that we share
same origin. Most of our grand fathers and mothers have roots in Pakistan. We may curse them everyday but wary of dropping a bomb on them.It is like
family feud.We are not bothered too much with extremist elements as know we can tackle them any time we want. The question is why don't? The answer is
simple vote bank politics.War and a enemy give politicians of both side an easy target to practice. But at the end of day we still like to distribute
sweets and gets very disappointed if other side refuses to exchanges gifts. As I said earlier our identities are complicated.

As you can see we protest by not exchanging sweets. Its very sweet, actually.
-> We don't have any emotional connection with China. We also understand China is an economic giant and they have an army with a recognisable force. We
don't need to fight with China but in a war, overwhelmingly Indian population will support any decision Govt. will take, even if that means tragedy and
loss.
But We want to engage with China strategically.Increase business but also increase active army presence on Border. They want to test us and we are from
last year, encouraging them,in a polite way.

In this current scenario,We are not going to side with West wholeheartedly ( even we are wary of China) as there is perception that West treats us
dismissively without understanding problems faced by us.You can take any thread in ATS and see there are always few responses which make us look like
we are yet to learn how to spell civilisation properly. Thus we are pursuing our economic interest while trying to engage as little as possible in
military conflict and taking one side in expense of another. But given this development our new foreign policy will be interesting to behold.
Apologies for my English.
