Interesting, I wonder what the Americans have planned.

It looks like in future warfare it's going to be really hard to hide in ambush from all this tech, drones fly overhead and relate to the HUD glasses the position of the enemy, game over.

Bonus: All soldiers are given apple watches with special military apps.

Is it proper to anounce a new war technology these days without using it first ?

I'm not a war person whatsoever, but sadly these type of devices are needed to stop others ruining the way we live. Countries spend untold amounts of money on research and development of new weapons and ways to keep us safe. Just imagine what that money could do for medical care or education.

Humans have been doing it for as long as we could walk. We'll never learn.

Probably have all the toys regrading communication and fire power by then just so TPTB can broadcast there actions more easily on our mass media networks. I dont hold out much hope for them being properly equipped regrading body armor all the same.

Cameron is far from socialist, the opposite in fact, unless the British have suddenly put someone else into power without letting the world know about it.

Hey! The Iraqi's thought at first,the glasses we wore were X Ray glasses ,and didn't want us to look at their women with them on because we were seeing them naked, maybe there's something to that after all. Good on the Brits rock and roll, stay frosty

Nope.It's called war.Those soldiers and all the soldiers in the past are the reason you are now at liberty.We humans are warmongers.It is what we do.

I can imagine the applications that Microsoft's Hololens could have if incorporated into a helmet and visor. Map overlays, highlighting targets in real time via drones, keeping track of friendly positions, imagination is the limit. It could provide unparalleled situational awareness.

The gear from the article is incredible and I hope it's able to assist in keeping them safe.
