I don't know why every time I hear Space Oddity I think about this. Radio usually plays it while I'm driving to my job. Sometimes it's actually little hard to focus on the road while my mind creates an imaginary film inside my head.

Do you know any other song that should be a movie?

There are likely many movies that could fit this already but it needs it's very own. I always imagine this one vividly while I am listening to it.

How about albums? Dark Side of the Moon come to mind immediately. Nine Inch Nails- The Fragile, pretty much every Coheed and Cambria album (they already have a bunch of comic books for them).

I feel a lot of songs would make better basis for movies then what many are being made after nowadays, nevermind all the junk sequels and remakes.

The Final Countdown by Europe

Band on the Run - Paul McCartney & Wings

I Shot The Sheriff - Bob Marley & The Wailers

I guess any song that tells a story.

not rock, but
Spraypaint & Inkpens by Fort Minor (Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park) feat. Lupe Fiasco and Ghostface Killah
contains 3 short stories, including one sci-fi at the end which is my favorite.

Apparently all the albums by Coheed & Cambria are based on a story or a non existent comic book or something wierd. Wait... I guess they do actually exist...

Soooo many good tunes that could make epic movies if done right. Every song tells a story and/or emotes a sensation/feeling....

Countrywide manhunt/car chase movie:

Eerie horror movie:

Mobster/henchman movie:

End of the world/apocalyptic war movie:

... and last but not least, the ultimate viking movie:
