They closed at -733 points. China slumped again, down 7.6%.

But the Dow is up 533 points. Why? Will it stay that way when we officially open this morning?

Not sure why but after yesterday the close is probably the more important number to watch

after seeing the world survived through the night, they all rushed in early this morning trying to get the lowest price and put their money back on the table?

of course there's also this:

So China slashed its rates to get people to buy. Will it work, though?

maybe in the short run, but well, look at the US and Europe, we've cut interest rates so much that if we go any lower, they'll be in the negative, or they are in the negative by what I hear in some areas.
and well when we get to that point, and the fed even mentions raising them, it seems like the markets go insane and start falling off a cliff, or is it that the big fishies in the markets are trying to blackmail?

It is a good incentive to convince people to take their money out of their savings accounts and other interest bearing accounts and look for other places to put it, like well, stocks!!!
