Nope. They are only the same in that both say it is a sexual orientation/sexual preference that they cannot help. I have read more than one article regarding this push to move it from being a mental or psychological disorder to being a sexual preference that cannot be helped.

Edited to add: Also, they are letting children as young as 11 or 12 make decisions about hormonally changing their bodies saying that is plenty old enough to "know" what you want. So, who knows what's coming down the pike.

I don't mind when people post their opinions on articles.

I mind when people attribute the articles posted to me, when I didn't write them.

I know your scion had an unkind article written about him, but (again) I didn't write it. Fire off a strongly worded email to the DM if you're that upset about their article.

And with that, I'm done entertaining your thread derailment and attempts to pin the article on me. If the use of multiple "supposedly" times and the "grain of salt" weren't enough to clue you in about my skepticism on the interview then I can't help you. The idea presented in the supposed interview is what interests me. Others got it. You didn't, and tried to make it about my own politics, and that's fine. But you can carry that on all by yourself from here on out. Bud.

As I said, I have read many articles and have noticed the move in language from 'perversion' to 'sexual orientation'. I do tend to pick up on little details, however, like this language from Harvard Medical School:

Pedophilia, the sexual attraction to children who have not yet reached puberty, remains a vexing challenge for clinicians and public officials. Classified as a paraphilia, an abnormal sexual behavior, researchers have found no effective treatment. Like other sexual orientations, pedophilia is unlikely to change.
