Russia already pulled the "If you don't include our point of view then the report is invalid" line.

Why are they opposed to a tribunal? Surely they must have evidence that the Ukrainians launched the missile as a false flag.

Because even if rebels were the ones who shot it down it would expose the fact Russia supplied it. That would go against their claimed position that they have nothing to do in E. Ukraine. It would also show that the theories pushed by Russia have been dismissed as not possible given the evidence.

A tribunal by the UN has the authority to subpoena items from countries, including Russia. What happens if they issue a subpoena that would show Russian involvement? Secondly if the rebels show it down it shows that is the side Russia is supporting, which is going to be embarrassing.

Either or I think we are to the point now where Russia cant cover it up anymore.
