Thats right folks, the LONG awaited sequel to Independence Day (ID4) is in production, with the title Independence Day: Resurgence. Its scheduled to
hit the theaters summer 2016. The old cast was reunited (Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldbloom, Brent Spiner, Judd Hirsch, Vivica Fox), and new cast members
introduced, such as Jessie Usher, who plays Dillon Hiller, son of Capt. Steve Hiller (Wil Smith), Liam Hemsworth, Maika Monroe, and Sela Ward, who
plays the president.
The movie takes place 20 years after the events of ID4, the world is united and preparing for another possible attack by another threat.
Watch below for a Q&A session with the actors on one of the sets of the movie.
I'm excited and torn about this movie. wil Smith had such a great part in the movie and his interaction with Jeff Goldblum at the end was classic,
but will the movie be the same without him?
Or, and stick with me for a minute on this one, they have advanced rather rapidly in various technologies due to the vast amount of alien craft
available for examination. They managed to keep Spiner's character alive, but barely. So, the download his mind into a supercomputer. Trancendence
style.
Then they assemble an artificial body for him and bring him back as AN ANDROID!
I don't know though. I'm not sure Spiner could pull it off. What do you think?
