For a hardened target, yes. For a soft target, not so much.

Interesting though that the VE system suffers the same issues I thought the SHF system had. It works for simple low end threats. These systems sound cool but their range seems to be very limited.

Heres a thought. Set Cruis emissiles up with a secondary set of warheads to if destroyed or shot down that will rain bomblets down on the area? Or decoys and flares able to mis direct the CIWS and anti missile emplacments.

In general anything that's emitting high powered RF energy is screaming out, I'm here come get me!
Thus if effective they would also be an easily geolocated target for some more sophisticated counter measures.

I was thinking HARMs would be effective.
My concern though was its effects on the HARM components and systems on say the f-35.

I know the f-35 can fly higher than this system can reach.
