Ho hum. Just another day at Ocala National Forest.

Mr. Richard Jones, who sent in the photos, claims his family was exploring along the Oklawaha River and observing wildlife when his son caused a commotion that spooked the lone raccoon.

That's when the startled raccoon decidedly boarded the gator's back.

Mr. Jones apparently had his camera in tow and and was lucky enough to capture this once-in-a-lifetime image.

Money shot of a lifetime!

The raccoon or the alligator?

I can't be sure of anything, but I saw this on the TV News this morning and looked it up online so that I could share it with you guys! The article says that the photographer says it's a legit picture. That's all I know.

Fake

1) Open up google and check out pictures of alligators swimming and you will see a completely different ripple patterns. 45 degree angles from nose continuing straight.

2) No water going over alligators nose but there should be.

3) Capture image and open in paint and zoom to look at pixels, does not seem right.

4) Convenient placement of flora right where refection of raccoon should be, and reflection not distorted by ripples.

5) Reflection of alligators head in water completely wrong.

Stupid photo. why no video, all cameras and phones have video. I can't believe this went viral, what next a jackalope riding a great white. Yeah right.
