THEY want to 'pit' us, the American people of ALL races, against each othet!!!!! This IS a war of US vs the State, THEY ARE ABUSING THEIR POWER, and ANY cop on here knows this!!! I sat on a grand jury for 1 month and specifically requested the offucer what was the SOP that he used when approaching a suspect.

It's called 'Threat Level'....IF there is a knife or severe weapon in the hand of the suspect, THEN & ONLY THEN should a gun be drawn. PERIOD!! My question is: Where are your Taser?!

To ALL MY BROTHERS & SISTERS OF every race, color & creed, to whom i have worked side-by-side with AND more specifically... "how would you feel if that was your daughter?" Well, my daughter 1) wouldn't have been there in the first place, 2) would have been taught better manners and would have sat down when the officer told her to and 3) she wouldn't have been mouthing off to a cop, even if he was wrong!

No amount of research gives the cop reason to act the way he did to that girl.
Yes the cops needed to be there, yes those two kids did probably the stupidest thing you could do in response to the cops actions.

That doesn't some how excuse the police officer.

Mouthing off to the cops is not illegal.

Eta: There were 11 other cops that didn't act any where near the way he did and all in the same situation. He was the only one the escalated anything. Probably why he was the one that got singled out by his chief...
I'll also add that I agree brand is off base about the gun thing. Fine with him pulling it, he didn't shoot so it is a non issue really.

Im not in the U.S but i dont agree with police carrying guns in everyday situations. Specialist officers or SWAT should have guns for extreme situations, not silly boys with a chip on their shoulder. I just want to say "thank you", because I was not a fan of Russel Brand, but upon seeing your response I can hereby say that I believe he has the interests of 'the people' in his stead and that he exposes a lot of what is unnecessary force by the police (LEO) and he is , indeed, into exposing fascism, bullying and injustice.
I thought he was a bit of a cock, but I now reserve that for you.

My point is anyone that listens to Russell Brand is a tool. He is an ex heroin addict that uses jumbled up words to sound intelligence without an actual point. He demonises the upper classes yet avoids tax like those he persecutes .

I'm English and have been exposed to his bull# my whole life on TV. If you see one of his stand up comedy sets he just talks for talk sake, hence every sentence he says is now proceeded by "parklife" ( check youtube if you are American and don't understand the reference). The guy has now taken a political approach, seeing himself as a voice for the people (how deluded he is). But he always shows himself to have little knowledge, just repeating the same meaningless sentences he spoke with his fellow heroin addicts. Please don't listen to him. In my defense, I am speaking generally about brand. I have watched him for over 15 odd years and have to me he is the personification of ignorance. Yes he has a well OTCHESTRATED argument, which is all applicable, but you catch him on the street, non rehearsed he will expose his lack of comprehension for English words and how they are applied.

All I would say is you are fortunate not to see his career unfold from junkie, to sex addict, to political activists for the people as he has stated many times.

Ive watched him too, first time I saw him he was hosting Big Brothers Little Brother and I adopted his phrase "Mind Bramble", I thought he was great and enjoyed him more than Big Brother. I actually thought him and Noel Fielding were a double act when they were on some pop quiz together.

Second time somebody has posted a video from Russell on here (that I've seen) and I have to say that again, I'm pretty impressed with him. Aside from that stupid man bun anyway.

He makes some very good points, and the destruction of Hannity is more than merited. The cop's own agency wasn't impressed with how he handled himself and to me that's pretty telling.

Everyone to his own. I agree that on big brother he was something new and his charisma made the show watchable but I don't like his political views, highlighting problems never offering solutions ( like all of us I suppose), adleast we don't self proclaim ourselves as a voice for the people.

Fair point about ex addicts, I'm merely pointing out he is following the same path most do, from a life of self indulged egocentrism to being a political activist, repeating what makes it on the front page of the sun. The fact he was on question time, seen as a mediator between the youth of society and politics is what really annoys me though. I could go on further but it will be unfair to the OP.
