The guy made the trailer in his office. Sold his TV and couch to finish it. He then put the trailer on kickstarter, and with donations, made enough for a short film. I would wager this is the future of the movie industry, where people have a say in what movies they wish to be made.

Magnificent. It's like MST3K on steroids.
People just don't appreciate how wonderfully bad 1980's American action films were.
David Sandberg is just scratching the surface.

Exactly...
digital technology has changed filmmaking into a table top enterprise. Feature films are now being shot on iphones.

Yeah the 80's had some over the top action movies. Cobra might be one of the most unwatchable.

I loved the cheezyness of Commando.

John Matrix: [holds Sully upside-down over a cliff by his leg] Listen, loyalty is very touching. But it is not the most important thing in your life right now! But what IS important is gravity! I have to remind you Sully, this is my weak arm!

Sully: You can't kill me Matrix! You need me to find your daughter!

John Matrix: Where is she?

Sully: I don't know. But Cooke knows, I'll take you to where I'm supposed to meet him!

John Matrix: But you won't.

Sully: Why not?

John Matrix: [holds the hotel key he stole from Sully that Cooke is staying at] Because I already know. Remember, Sully, when I promised to kill you last?

Sully: That's right, Matrix! You did!

John Matrix: I lied.

[Matrix releases Sully, who falls to his demise]

Is there a word epic enough to qualify this gem of an action movie? It had everything the heart desires, minus love scenes... lol

And Sandberg even managed to have Hasselhoff in it! Wow. I hope to see other movies from Sandberg. He's a genius in his own right.

Assuredly one of the best action movies I've seen... And I have mileage now...

Loved the way in the fight scene with the Arcade Machine, they included VHS tracking issues -- lost the picture like 3 times, then the story line within the fight has significantly changed each time picture is restored lol.

Emulating perfectly the fact that kids always rewound the tape to watch the fight scenes over and over again, thus damaging the tape on those scenes. Very nicely done indeed.

David hasselhoff kung fury theme song as played by guitar virtuoso and a 80s style heavy metal singer. Pretty sweet. Guitarist is extremely good. Hard to decide which is better. The original or this cover.

It sure topped my action list.

We wil so very obviously get to have a full-length feature in the next 3-5 years.

This 30 min short is going to get so huge in the next few months.
